The other night on TV they spoke of cats as healers, that their purr is within the healing frequencies of the human body, and a woman said that if you're not well a cat will - well, you already know, don't you? Once I fell down the stairs at my sister's house and after she put me to bed, her cat came and sat on the bed and purred at me. I fell asleep and woke to the soft thump of the cat landing on the floor. I thought, "I must be better if the cat's leaving." And I was.
I'm glad you brought that up. My cat is very protective like that. Whenever I have been ill my cat will pace and cry like she thinks she's suppose to do something. She snuggled close beside me once when I had a bad reaction to a medication and taped on me ever so often to wake me up as I was having trouble staying conscious. Then last week when I had asthma attacks all week, my kitty kept hitting me between the shoulder blades with her paw and crying as if she thought that would stop my coughing.
