Nah. I don't bother with make-up nor fancy clothes most of the time.
I know my parents wouldn't mind if I wore make-up because they're bought me lip-gloss and perfumes(I do, however, like to where perfume or body spray).

Maybe it is. I like video games, film noir, and Beavis & Butthead. I could care less if guys think I'm attractive. I laugh until I fall off chairs, I can be really clumsy, a grade-A dork sometimes... I don't go out of my way to be all poised. But it's the worst when I make honest conversation with guys and they think that I like them. I don't understand why girls can't just be seen as people sometimes.

I think of myself as the au naturel type because I don't like when people look at me or notice things about my appearance. I wear make-up but you wouldn't be able to tell. But I am definitely girlier than some of my friends.

I like fashion and make-up too, but nothing over the top. I don't wear heels either.

Sister! I agree with you 100%! On a typical day, I will look something like Sarah Silverman but with flip flops or ballet flats. But it does take a little work to look so naturally, tomboyishly cute! :colors:

But I also love getting dressed up, occassionally! Like, I am going to a wedding next weekend in Palm Beach and I can't wait to get all dressed up for a couple days! But I'm sure I'll be the one hanging out with the guys on the golf course drinking beer and taking golf carts for joy rides and other bonehead shenanigans! (At least I hope we do that!)

I still love Beavis & Butthead after all these years. Timeless. I like the original Jackass, too.

Also - I have always been incompetent and apathetic about my hair. I prefer an updo or ponytail - so I guess I can understand the aspie girls on this thread who don't do make-up.

I agree. Make up just highlights your beauty. Not hides it.

Yepper - the better you are at applying it, the less people should notice it. Unless you want it to be noticed. I also go through phases where I like playing with colors. I have boring brown eyes, so I can get away with it.

And - yes - there is also usually some bit of hiding flaws. Let's face it. (pun intended)

not much of a lipstick and lipgloss person here- I use a lot of Carmex though, because it's taste is disgusting and I'm trying to quit my lip chewing habit/stim.

I love eyeliner, and I wish I could apply it as well as GloomyPluto (assuming that it was you who did the make-up on your pic), I'm pretty hopeless at making the lines straight and symmetrical :(

I love eyeliner. I have been experimenting a lot lately. (Nothing like the style goddesses below - but maybe someday)

Maybe as you get older you might need to hide some flaws but when you are young it just eccentuates beauty.

I can´t do the eyeliner thing. Too many sensory issues there. I like the look of it, though.

I have one eyeliner that I like and I always re-buy the same one. It is an inexpensive twist-up eggplant color....I use it more for my "stage" makeup...but I will wear it as normal eyeliner occasionally.
Still....it always gives me raccoon eyes eventually. I hate raccoon eyes.

What? You don't think people should pluck their eyebrows?

Makeup is all good if you ask me. Unless you wear it caked on all the time, it can make you look really nice for that night out.

Shhhhhhhhh! He's a guy! He doesn't have to know all our secrets!

I am obsessed with my eyebrows. I don't travel without my Sally Hansen waxing strips and a tweezer. One of my nightmares is getting caught in a Hurricane Katrina-type situation with no hair removal supplies.

I'm part Spanish - I am genetically prone to unibrows and mustaches. If I could, I'd get laser hair removal and be done with it!! !

yeah, but some girls pluck nearly all or the whole lot out, and then they'll look weird.

Why would having hardly any eyebrows mean they need makeup? Wouldn't it just mean they need stick on eyebrows?

By the way most people can look a lot nicer with a small amount of eyebrow plucking.
