I think that was all of us, not just you. I hung out with the theatre nerds, who were one step below the band but one above the computer nerds, in high school. I was also a choir girl, and one of the two oldest in my division at that, so I really wasn't considered cool. Pretty much the only way for me to have been cool was to be a cheerleader, and that wasn't happening, considering doing acrobatics without a mat to break a fall is not my idea of fun.

okay, i never said that 1st quote so i don't know where you got it from.
yes, i was a choir chick too. i also did the talent shows and occasional musicals. some liked me and hated me for it. i'd occasionally hung out with the fantasy-novel loving nerds only because they liked me. plus, i hated my senior prom. i went stag like the loser that i am only to see if it was worth the time of day.
and to think the teen years will be the best years of your life...GIMME A BREAK!

Sorry! That first one quote was me! :nerdy: How did that happen?

Oh, and the going to prom alone thing? It sucks. My junior year I went alone and I was only there for 30 mins before I left. Honestly I wanted to leave after like 3 minutes (because it was stupid and loud) the only reason I didn't was because my parents were so thrilled I bothered to go at all. Prom at my old high school was NOT worth the time of day. Or the time of night. Or any time at all really. The whole prom thing is actually very stupid (well I think so).

My teen years weren't pretty.... I wasn't pretty.
I wore clothing from another era and wasn't pretty. I was smart so that helped.
I couldn't look at or speak to anyone and would tremble if they spoke to me.....

so glad I'm not young.

Sorry, when I was editing I deleted the wrong user name. So sorry for all the confusion. I'm a bit rusty with HTML; I haven't used it in six years, since I was in a computer class where I had to design my own website.

:D It's cool with me. That was enough to confuse me though. I was like "How did that happen? How'd I do that?!"

Definately. I wouldn't say I'm well loved now, either.

MY teen years were so monotonous. Basically six years of fantasy novels.

I'm kinda going through adolescence now, I think. I never cared about my appearance as a teen, there was no-one to dress up for. Now I'm quite the fashion victim

What makes my life different now is that I don't feel bad for pursuing my own interests if they aren't mainstream popular.

I don't know about elsewhere, but around here, girls were far more clique-ish than boys. Everyone hated me because I was different. None of the weird boys ever seemed to have as much trouble as me being accepted.
