Growing up I spent most of my time in loose t-shirts, sneakers, and blue jeans, mostly hand me downs from my big sister. Shopping has always been a mind-numbing and confusing venture, so I avoid it when possible. I also do not enjoy the process of putting on or for that matter wearing makeup; I only wear it on special occasions (weddings, parties, church, ect...). If I can get away with wearing only sun screen, and a bit of concealer, that’s all I put on. Long nails drive me nuts, and nail polish is way too much of a hassle; so I typically keep my nails short and unpolished. I probably would not own any dresses, skirts, girly tops, or suits if my mother and sisters did not buy them for me as birthday gifts. I have a tendency to value function over fashion when it comes to my choice in clothing. For example; my current style (uniform) is black boot cut jeans, sneakers, black trench coat, and either an oversized t-shirt or a plain collared shirt. I like simple classic styles, solid colors or simple patterns, and fabrics that are not silky, furry, or scratchy. For special occasions I like to wear black slacks and a collared shirt, but if requested I will put on a dress or suit. I like to keep my hair style simple (wash and wear). For the most part all I do to it is brush it out in the morning, wash it twice a week, and curl it on Sundays with an iron. The only hair produces I use are ones designed to control or repair my occasional bouts of curling induced frizz. I have never understood the need to have two dozen shoes, a dozen blouses, or more than four pairs of jeans, way too much to keep track of. I rarely wear jewelry; when I do I prefer simple and understated pieces. All in all I guess that puts me somewhere in between a tom boy and girly girl, not a bad place to be if you ask me. :D

I believe it's a stereotype. I'm pretty girly. I LOVE makeup and clothes. I wear heels. I love glitter and my favorite color is pink. This is in contrast with my obsession with comics, and video games. :) I used to not be girly in my early teens. I used to dress like a boy, because the girls at school were so mean to people, and I thought that if I didn't dress like them, I wouldn't be thought of as mean. I rarely wore makeup, and I was lucky if I brushed my hair.

Come to think of it, fashion is just who and what I am! I bought adorable makeup the other day!

It's funny, I sometimes wish I was more girly. I oohed and ahhed over all the pretty dresses Anne Hathaway wore on the Oscars last night and there is a part of me that would love to get all done up for a big event. It's just the day to day of it all that's overwhelming for me.

I wear make up, sometimes more but usually less.I dye my hair, I shave my legs but......I hate skirts and dresses and high heels and dont even get me started on short skirts and cleavage.
I would just prefer to not receive the attention I think or maybe I just feel odd wearing it cause its not comfortable or a combination of both.I always end up pulling on skirts and dresses or anything too cleavage like.Making sure I have control of those body parts :-p

I wear basic makeup to look better, but I am not into trying the newest trends, eyeshadows, etc. I am not into fashion and do not like to shop - I pretty much buy the same clothes over and over. I do not like gossip and am not into popular movies like a lot of women I know.

I do like to cook and clean!

I prefer not to be 'girly', but I suppose I can be....

I did not wear make until I was 21 and I still have trouble putting it on now, perhaps only twice a week or less...

I don't like having my hair long, it aggravates me but I keep it like that because people continually tell me I do not suit short hair - perhaps it is because I get frustrated with it and cut it myself so it looks bad!

As far as fashion is concerned I have no idea! I am quite happy to get paint on my clothes and not wash it off - people always point out - "you have paint there" to which I just shrug my shoulders. I never really understood why they care so much about it - like it is bothering them!?

The most stereotypical gender based thing that s associated with being a female, is that I like clothes. But then I like them as a way of self expression, rather than be like 'ooh i'm all slutted up and being girl with all my girlfriends, lol lets get drunk at a bar."

Other than that, I don't know what other stuff girls do, as I've never really had friends, and enjoy doing whatever interests me, which I feel is not gender specific.

I'm not 100 percent girly, but then again, I don't like the things men like at all. I mostly like things what both sexes enjoy, like going on holidays and touring around. That's the life for me. Hopefully I will meet a man who likes going on holidays too.

Never have been girly. I didnt feel comfortable doing girly.

I have tried on occasion but failed miserably.

I value personal comfort over aesthetics or conforming to societies expectations of my associated gender.

I am girly because I am a female but I am not girly in aesthetic or social terms. I just own the right attributes to be a girl. I enjoy being female...

I don't wear makeup or shave, and my hair will not be brushed unless it's a day I have to leave the house. It's super-duper long.

I do like colors and different patterns and things, though, and wear dresses often- not because they're girly, but because they're comfortable. Don't wear jewelry, though I do have several chests worth from a time that was Before.

I found a wallet thing the other day with a cell phone case. Which I can attach to my key ring.
So I'm excited about never having to carry a purse again. :D

I wouldn't say I was a 'girly' girl but then I couldn't really be described as a tomboy either. I have never worn full make up but I do use a light foundation and concealer to cover up dark eyes! I have trich so I can't really wear mascara :( I guess I try not to draw attention to my eyes for that reason. I have curly hair which I can't bear being in my face so I just tie it up. Just try and keep everything low maintence really. I can't seem to shave without cutting myself but I still do it. Due to sensory issues I don't wear perfume. As far as clothing goes I tend to wear similar things; linen trousers and cotton or linen tops, I sometimes think I would like to try something different but a lot of the clothes are in horrible synthetic fabrics which I hate. I can relate to what others have said about liking feminine clothing on others but somehow I don't feel comfortable in it myself, although recently I have been thinking I might try a dress or skirt? We'll see!

I'm like a cross between super nerd, super girly and a dude. I have many layers. As for the girly part, I feel nice wearing makeup while wearing a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. I love doing my hair and don't mind when others do it as long as 1. they asked first 2 their hands are clean and 3. they don't pull my hair. As a child (and, erm now still really) I obsessed over the Powerpuff Girls and have always wished I could be a princess (Princess Leia to be exact). Actually I'm going as Blossom (my avatar) to this party. I have over 15 pictures of my favorite actors and sports stars in my room, my first love was Orlando Bloom, I like watching model shows, I have 4 years worth of Seventeen magazine and I go crazy over cute animals, guys and romantic scenes. Hell, I got the Valley Girl accent!

However, I'm also a complete slob, a smartass, obsessed with mental disordes and skin diseases, and a total geek. It's only been recently I've been comfortable wearing a skirt or shorts or even sweatpants; I've worn nothing but jeans for years now.

Now if you will excuse me, I'm going to paint my nails pink while I play World of WarCraft and watch the Science Channel...

Growing up I wasn't girly at all. I was a tomboy through and through, and I absolutely hated dresses. Now, I never wear make-up, unless it's a job interview. I shave, but that's because I grew up with women who didn't and I thought it looked gross. I wear dresses, not to be girly, but as someone else said, they are comfortable, and are usually colorful and fluttery, which is pleasing to me. My hair takes more effort since it's naturally curly. I have to wash it and have to put gel in it and fight with it to not turn into this big frizzy mess. Some days I'm not in the mood to fool with it and it's a ponytail day then.
