Very well spoken! Also during times in my life when I have put on a few extra pounds I have thought the same thing--it's a very good way to effortlessly find out who your real friends are.

Some women are lucky enough not to need make-up. I do because I have blotchy skin and can't leave the house looking like a pizza.

I doubt it. People with AS and similar things often just have low self-esteem; I do too. That's probably you. :)

Of course there is nothing wrong with not wearing make-up. I very, very rarely ever wear make up and when I do, it's usually just eyeliner and eye shadow. I don't think anybody cares if you wear make-up or not and if they do they're shallow morons who aren't worth your time.

If make up is too much of a hassle for you, then it's really not worth it.

Incidentally, I don't think people "need" make up, per say. They just really, really like wearing it or feel that it will enhance their appearance, but it's hardly necessary.

When I wear makeup it definitely isn't for men, but to fit in with other women. They treat me better when I wear it. As for men, the only things they seem to notice are my figure (which varies) and how skimpy my clothes are.

After reading Raven's post, though, I might just give it up altogether. My brain is messed up enough already without putting additional lead into my system all the time. Those other women, well, it's not like they ever respect me once they get to know me anyway.

EDIT: Yeah, thanks for that link, Raven. Most of the stuff I'm using is safe enough for my liking but my moisturizer & foundation weren't. It's good to know.

Nope. Don't have to at my job. I work with men. I'm a shipper receiver in the parts trade. The make up would just make the dust cake on my face.

I wore makeup, once, when I was 12. Then I decided it was a waste of time and completely pointless. :D
I don't wear a drop because I wouldn't be comfortable hiding myself behind a mask. Just never felt the desire to wear any sort of makeup, or any other alteration to my appearance...I couldn't care less how I look to the world.
I've been told all my life "how pretty I could look if I wore makeup"...as if my goal in life is to look pretty? :? ...Not!

Hmmm, it´s not a huge big deal. I go outside without make-up quite a lot, but when I go to to university or something social I do put on at least a bit of mascara and eyeliner.

On rare occcasions I might wear eye liner, and maybe eyeshadow...but other then that I don't really wear any. Don't really see the point in covering my face with pore clogging make up, then I'll just get more pimples and I prefer none or just a couple here and there not a whole face full.

This.

I find it primitive to think women should wear colors on their face. I find revealing clothes disgusting and feminine clothes wrong (for me). I like neutral and male stuff.
No-one's ever given me any gripe about it, and if they did, I wouldn't care. My life, my decision.
