Only all the time. I've come to the point where, when I'm talking to a friend who doesn't share my interest, I'll just go "look, I need to talk about this for a bit, is that okay? Five minutes. You don't have to listen, just ... let me get it out? You can time me."
Works reasonably well.

Also, what do you mean by "NT language acquisition" (presumably in contrast to neurodiverse language acquisition)? That sounds absolutely fascinating and I'd love to hear more.

I've never really had a special interest. Maybe it's because a lot of what people are interested in involves a lot of sitting down and being quiet.

Social sciences, the connections between the clinical and the everyday-cognition, emotion, sensation.
Music (listening to & labeling the files from my hundreds of mixtapes)
TV shows and the people in them (not in an involved way, just actors that I enjoy I look for other stuff they've been in)
Drawing abstract geometric patterns & fields of dots & making mazes, that sort of thing that requires much patience & fine motor control.
Probably more, but they don't occur to me at the moment-I live for my enthusiasms, as consolation for my plethora of aggravations.

I do think I have any obsessive interests. Although lately I enjoy reading erotic literature.

But I bet I'm the only one on here
You´re not the only one. I love reading erotic fanfic and literature of couples that I ship from movies, books, TV-shows etc. Right now it´s only Erik/Christine from Phantom Of The Opera and I also read a book called "Return Of The Phantom" by Etienne De Mendes.

Guess I´m not alone. That´s nice to know :) I´ve been reading a lot of stories from literotica.com. Mostly amateur authors, but there are some real talented ones!

It may not apply to everyone but as a child, I was very interested in animals. I went through stages of learning different breeds of species, but my focus was on dinosaurs, dogs, cats, and birds. And I read abundantly as well.

As an adult, I'm still all about birds and literature. I like to read overall so I generally find a topic for the day and read about it. However, when I delve into brain anatomy, it's hard to pull me away :D

Right now I'm really into:
Ancestry/Genealogy
Home Schooling
Dogs
Hiking/Outdoors
Aliens
Doctor Who
Egypt
Costa Rica
World Religions
Environmental stuff

In the past few years, it was other things- which I still like but am not as currently obsessed about. Italy, Leaning Italian, I was eating a vegan diet for a year (this was not good for my health), minimalism, shoes, socks, jewelry (after which I realized I only like the same 2 pairs of shoes, jewelry is annoying and black socks are best).

My list of current interests:
- Fiber arts, especially spinning and traditional ethnic knitting
- Herbs and herbal medicine, especially making my own teas and salves
- Theology, especially in literature
- Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings
- Doctor Who, but not super obsessed
- making and wearing jewelry, especially feather earrings and hair clips
- Faeries!! !!
- gardening, especially herbs
- essential oils? Don't know whether this falls under the category of "herbs" or not
- Making natural cosmetics and soap
- Fantasy and sci-fi (I especially like stories with elements of both, or by authors who do both)
- books and reading, both fiction and nonfiction

When I was younger I was hugely obsessed with outer space, aliens and astronauts, to the point where I would squeal if someone used the word "alien"

I've had a few over the years.

When I was much younger:
Buster Keaton
Andy Warhol

Dolls have been my favorite for the longest though. I have an enormous American Girl collection but in the last few years I have added Maplelea Girls (I am Canadian)
I also have a couple of vintage dolls but mostly I like 18" play dolls and their clothes and accessories. I like the history that goes with AG.
Sewing
Vintage sewing machines
the 1950's

I have other things I enjoy too, like video games, knitting and reading but none are like my fixation on doll stuff.

As a young adult:

Today:
Alternative medicine, the internet, my iPad, aliens, UFOs, the paranormal, ghost stories, Dudley Moore (after he died), rocks and gemstones.

Keeps changing, but right now I'm obssessed about Frozen :D I'm trying to learn the songs in all languages, but unfortunately I only found danish, spanish, english, portuguese, french and german by far. For instance, songs like strangers like me (tarzan) and we are one (lion king) I know how to sing from finnish to arabic.

I've been reading about female aspies' interests and those seem to be the more common interests:
-behaviour/cultures/psychology
-literature/writing/fantasy
-animals/nature
-languages
-religion/philosophy
-maths/science
I love all those too :P For me they are all related, like psychology->behaviour->cultures->languages->literature->fantasy->philosophy and so on... But like a net, not a line, with each thing connecting to multiple others, can't explain, only visualize. Can you see it? And you can add lots of other things depending on your interests, like fantasy->movies->celebrities etc. But in the end it all makes sense as one, one type of interest and pattern... Can't explain.
