Love LOVE heels. I am 5'10 and with heels, I'm over 6' but I love it. Luckily my husband is tall (6'1). I would say 3" is probably perfect, I do have some 4"'s but they are normally a bit of wedge/platform for easier walking. I particularly like peep toe shoes, and I worship Jon Fleuvog.

No, I do not walk in high heels.
I just fall if I try.

It may be due to my poor motor coordination but I really can't walk in highheels. They're not only uncomfortable but I literally fall everytime I try to walk in them like those girls you see on TV who strut their stuff.

Low heels help just to make me look taller but they're also hard for me to walk in. Aesthetically I like the look of them but it's just not something I can tolerate physically.

My great grandma would always tell me that it was a requirement for women to wear in most work places. I imagine that's why her barbie feet look strange and her back is hunched over.... :?

I have really wide feet, so it's hard to fit into high heels. I can walk in them though :D

Reasons I dont wear them...

1.I would trip and barely be able to walk....Im used ot either wearing runners or steel toed boots...
2.My feet are so darn big...I wear size 10 in men's shoes....

No. Never. Those things are instuments of torture and not worth wearing. :x I can wear "dressy" shoes as long as the heels are low and they're comfortable enough, but there is no way a woman should have to wear anything that causes her pain and dicomfort just to look "sexy" and all that garbage. Men don't have to and it is so NOT FAIR!! !

I do love my heels. The taller the better and I have a thing for high heeled boots. I'm 5'9" and I have no issue playing up my height. The boyfriend is the same height as me but he doesn't care if I'm taller in heels and neither do I.

I'm 5'2, so yeah I walk on my tippy toes all the time. Heels make my butt look better.

Wide heels such as wedges are easier to walk in than pointy ones. I learnt to walk in them wearing high-heeled boots, which fit better and don't tend to slip like many heeled shoes do. I mostly wear ballet flats for everyday now, but I still have a love for knee-high black leather platform boots .

I can barely walk in 2 inch heels. I get wobbly when my feet are not flat on the ground. A week ago someone came to tour my house. A it snowed several inches over night and was still snowing some when she arrived so naturally she was wearing boots. Her boots had at least 5 inch spiked heels. And I'm the one that's supposedly nuts.

I can relate to this. I recently got a shoe craze when getting a new job and earning enough to actually be able to shop montly without feeling bad about unpaid bills.

But going from flats all your life into really high heels or stillettos will kill your feet and your spirits to ever keep walking in them.

Wedges. This is like heel-trainee. And some wedge-shoes look pretty. Easier to balance on and you can get them to up to 2-3 inches in heel height aswell as less than 1 inch. My tip is, start a bit low. And find shoes that are comfortable. That doesnt pinch toes or heel or anything and then use them alot. Going to the shops? Use those and not the flip flops. Walk around a bit in the house with them, fetch mail with them.

Eventually you get used to it. Feet not used to heels will grow tired easily so dont bring them to school/work the first time around unless you have short days or have a spare pair with.

Eventually you will get used to walking in "the heights" and moving onto other heels will come easier.

Heels might be the devils invention and it might kill your feet if you wear nothing but - however - it makes you walk feminine, it makes you hips sway, your legs longer and for me its a tiny little confidence boost. Chest out, swaying hips and more "catwalk-walk" and less "cowboy-walk". :D

I cannot wear stilleto type shoes, but I do like boots with a high (ish) blocky heel. Having said which, this represents about the highest I could wear... http://www.zappos.com/n/p/p/7595628/c/654.html

I would like to point out that I could not dream of affording that particular boot, it's just a "dream boot."

Stupid thing is, that though I love shoes, and have quite a few blocky high heels, I spend eighty percent of my time in the bare feet. (Walking on tiptoes... sheesh... I can't make my mind up!)

I'm 156 cemtimetres and I never wear heels higher than 7 centimetres. I'm rather clumsy.

I'm very clumsy and tall, so I avoid heels at all costs.
