Do you hate men because (you think) they are sexist?

Most men whom I have known personally, smart ass.

Yeah, I figured. I suppose everyone's just so serious, so I try to bring some low calorie disorder. I was once associated with dadaism, which I had no clue about at the time, but I guess my rambliness seems contrived to some, like I'm trying too hard, when I'm not trying at all, or at the very least, trying in vain. In any event, I dispute that anyone knows that much about how other people perceive them w/o significant, reasonably objective, outside observation, since IME/O people tend to exacerbate things they feel are beyond their control in some way. Eg it would be silly IMO for me to say I have so much trouble dating when I haven't gone to places, presented myself in a manner, or communicated to others of interest, in a way that facilitates said function. Even though I could and have. In any event, you seem cool and I think hate is quite strong wrt how you believe males ya know feel about you.
*sigh* If it makes you happy to think that, sugar.
So are you saying that you Want double standards for men and women? Where did I get the impression that you wanted equality between the sexes.

Whatever. Go get a girlfriend. I've lost my patience with you. Read my last post in the Gender thread.

I don't hate men, but yes, about 90% of them are sexist. It's a cultural thing, so to argue against it is to go up against about 100,000 years of evolution. Women tend to be physically weaker than men (though I've seen plenty of exceptions), and men use this to their advantage. Though they may try to tell you differently, men are not more intelligent than women. They just get more recognition for it, that's all. Their argument always seems to be that women can't be good leaders or make sound decisions because they're too 'emotional.' Whoever said that has apparently never met a female aspie, LOL.
The biggest problem women have, however, is coexisting with other women. (of course, it's different in lesbian culture, so I refer to 'straight' females in this example). No one judges a woman more harshly than another woman. I don't know why this is, but more than likely it's an instinctual-animal kind of thing, like competition for breeding purposes. Has anyone been to MySpace and similar sites lately? I sickens me to see all those young girls posting near-pornographic pictures of themselves to draw attention from boys/men. I've even caught my niece and my daughter posting half-nude photos of themselves. I couldn't tell my niece to stop doing so, but my daughter was told to take the pictures off or else. Maybe it's just changing times, but I still can't believe the lengths some women and girls will go to draw male attention. It's very sad that they feel like they have to display themselves like prime rib in a butcher's shop in order to get attention. I blame the media.

I totally agree with women being judged harshly by other women. I see a lot of that and it's riduculous esp. the things I've seen them fight about.

One could also argue that the biggest problem many Men have is coexisting with other Men. Men as you know are far more physically violent than women and it turns out that much of this violence is directed against Other Men(ESPECIALLY homicide-regardless of how the media harps on cases of women being murdered by men). Im not suprised that women judge each other more harshly then they judge men because for straight women, other women are their competitors. Now Rainstorm, I can understand your outrage at underage girls putting naked pictures of themselves on the net. But when it comes to young Women they have every right to do so-and it TOTALLY makes sense to me why they do it. Its the whole "you want me but you cant have me" ploy. Physical strength isnt really all that useful in today's world except if you're a Cop or you're locked up in the slammer. Social manipulation seems to get a person MUCH, much further than being big, strong, and aggressive. But there is a difference between a sex object and a sex symbol you know

Man hating. WHAT THE ??? I've heard heaps of this before and it annoys me
I'd like to give my perspective.
I'd like to say this as a guy I treat woman better than other guys. I'm way more careful with them because they are way more sensitive and it is really easy to hurt their feelings.
But men in general treat each other like complete crap, we enjoy giving each other crap, we find it good sport. We can have massive fights and then we are best mates the next day. Because our world is a bit more brutal, we have to be a bit more brutal ourselves. I think we have evolved to be better fighters etc, to look after and protect our woman and children.
I think through the eyes of woman we may seem a bit sexist because we are less sensitive about our feelings and don't understand how sensitive woman are.
It's good to have woman around, because we behave ourselves more. But at the same time it can be hard because you have to becareful what you say.
I think woman judge men through their own eyes, which I don't feel is right because woman are more sensitive than men.
Thought I needed to add my comments to the discussion.

Honestly-Ive never thought of women as being any less rational and logical than men. But what I certainly HAVE noticed is they are less categorical and systematic when it comes to the world of people. Pretty much ALL the women that Ive met get very annoyed with me when I try to categorize people and make predictions about their personalities and behaviours. Seems like most women dont see the human world that way. One thing is for sure though:women are FAR MORE Judgemental of us men then we are of them. I have a very intense personality and Im also rather aggressive-and yet I am NOT violent and/or dangerous! Multiple (young)women have told me that my intensity and aggression "scares" them and makes them feel uncomfortable. So the conclusion Ive come to is that women dislike men who are very well man NOT be actually dangerous but simply dont make them(women) 'feel safe'. The dark irony of this is that there are A LOT of VERY dangerous men out their with sinister intentions who know or have figured out how to make women feel safe and they get their victims every time( a good example of this kind of man was Ted Bundy). I wish women would really think over their instinctual reactions towards men but I know thats not going to happen cuz women are very risk averse with guys and their basis for judging men is how those men make them feel. I personally havent an OUNCE of sympathy for women who are "scared" of me becaue of my personality or write me off because of one social mistake
