I apologize writing this here, since I'm a guy, but I think this is the BEST place to ask about this, I have gained research about make-up, learning powder is an effective way of hiding your pimples and freckles (I don't have freckles, but pimples), and I will soon grow ebough hair to post a few pics of myself at my absolute best, which I really want, do you have any recommendations on what to buy? I'm not sure yet if some make-up is damaging against your face and skin, I have noticed many people wearing make-up look tired, horrible without it, maybe because of the damage or people being used to see them with make-up, know it sounds selfish, but please.

almay compact powder (the kind that comes in the small, plastic, rectangular box) is excellent. it's really subtle and hides a bit. however, it only conceals a portion of your face. if you have a big bad zit you want gone, use cover-up. almay also makes tubes of these. almay is good because it's hypo-allergenic and natural-esque. physicians formula is also good. these are usually on sale at drugstores. covergirl, revlon, and maybelline are heavier, so i'd stay away from these.
to pick a color, i think i always use the inside of my forearm as a judgment, because the outside is weathered. if you can't decide on the color that best matches your skin, pick the lighter, otherwise it will be more obvious. when you apply it, never cover your whole face, because your facial tone still has to match the tone of your neck. just swipe your forehead, nose, cheekbones, and chin with the powder, then distribute it down your cheeks. your skin tone will be looking much more even. it's easier than i made it out to be, i think.

um, it's only damaging if you can't take care of yourself. washing your face every night to remove it is a good idea. i've heard a lot of people say it's damaging, but the only thing i can think of is that certain stuff really clogs your pores. this can lead to zits and blackheads. also, i could extrapolate and say that people sometimes get bad rashes from some make-up they didn't know they were allergic to. also, eye infections can be contracted by not using eye-make-up remover, as well as from sharing. but for circles under one's eyes, there could be loads of reasons for that. maybe that's why people wear make-up in the first place. as for me, when i do wear make-up, it's fairly light, nor do i wear it every day.
i hope all of this helps...

To help srink up the zits before your put the cover-up on put a dab of preparation h. No kidding it strinks the zit fast and helps heal it faster. Get the cream kind the other kind is too gressy. It also helps with bags under your eyes and tightens up fine lines you only have to use a very little bit I have had the same tube for 2 years and use it on th bags under my eyes and the fine line around my eyes now that I'm for the most part past the zit thing.
