I can go from being too hot to too cold in the same room, but that might be my hormones having a last hoorah.

Sometimes my pants all of a sudden feel uncomfortable on me and I am scratching myself. Some times I can't tolerate certain material and lot of times I can. Sometimes I can feel clothing tags on my back. There comes times when I don't feel my clothes so I feel naked.

I absolutely can not tolerate gum chewing and pen clicking, teeth sucking, snoring, and birds monotonously chirping.I mean it is not a pet peeve. It is an extreme averson to these sights and sounds. If I see or hear these things I go from 0 to meltdown in a couple of seconds. My whole body spazzes out.I feel like I am being violated, and I want to scream at the top of my lungs and run, run, run. I get nauseous, and feel like I will have a panic attack if I have to stay where the sounds are happening. In the last few years I have heard this is common in those with Aspergers. I mean I am not young, I am in my 50's. I have had this as long as I can remember. Needless to say I don't have many friends and don't go out much.

I used to have an account here, but just couldn't find my password, so I started this one up. There are clothes that bother me, and loud noises and bright lights. It would have to be a tie between those three things for me.

Some telephone rings - ringing ones - not mobile jingly music but things that sound like old fashioned telephone ringers. Especially malfunctioning ones - someone at work has a desk telephone that rings 'wrong' and it really gets me wound up.

That's a tough one. I'd have to say my Diplopia is the weirdest one. Seeing objects float around cloning themselves on a daily basis kinda heightens the fact that I already feel pretty split from reality.

That said, that's not really an Aspie trait so much as my Dyspraxia screwing my eyes over. In terms of sensory squicks/yays, I'd have to say my aversion to things that stick to my skin has been weirdest/most problematic. Labels, stickers, cling-film, plasters (oh, especially them >_<) are horrible to me. Just touching them can bring me out in a shiver.

I get annoyed by tags, why is this in the women's thread anyway?

Loud noises - I can't watch a movie in the theater without earplugs. Also, certain voices are painful to listen to. The tags and pants waistlines bother me, and anything lightly touching me.

I agree with pretty much all of those.
Though, do you like parakeets? I miss having them. Specifically because they /aren't/ monotone, but sensory issues are tricky so I'm not sure if you perceive them that way.

The rest? Hell yes.

Thankfully, I can roll the SO onto his side without really waking him. Otherwise I'd be in jail for homicide. 8)

I get that too all the time.

I can't stand rubbing my hands on carpet and I don't like it when there are too many people talking loudly.

My bird when she does the alert call which is a shrill shriek packed with discordant energy. My mom loves birds, I dont see the point in putting an animal in a cage 75 percent of the time and having to tip-toe around it to keep it from shrieking. I have come to love Brat (the bird) but she still causes me to meltdown occassionally.

I dont like crouds at all...the visual blur, the million convos at once bluring into one choatic hum. and the energy darting everywhere at once. I was shaking and crying by the time my sister picked me up from the airport.

I dont like people touching me anywhere...it kinda jolts me almost like static electricity but in a internal way..hard to describe. I am very sensitive to energy and I feel their energy rupturing my energy field.

Ohh and scratchy and unnatural fibers...eeek

One more...cold rain drops feel like minature icy granades, both freezing me with each drop and shocking my nerves

Whenever anyone touches the area around my ribs (front or back) it feels like when the doctor bonks your knee with the little hammer to test your reflexes. It makes me cringe just to think about it. The rest of my body it depends on the person and my relationship to them. Right now the only person who could touch me without my being uncomfortably aware of personal space is my son.
