I absolutely can not tolerate gum chewing and pen clicking, teeth sucking, snoring, and birds monotonously chirping.I mean it is not a pet peeve. It is an extreme averson to these sights and sounds. If I see or hear these things I go from 0 to meltdown in a couple of seconds. My whole body spazzes out.I feel like I am being violated, and I want to scream at the top of my lungs and run, run, run. I get nauseous, and feel like I will have a panic attack if I have to stay where the sounds are happening. In the last few years I have heard this is common in those with Aspergers. I mean I am not young, I am in my 50's. I have had this as long as I can remember. Needless to say I don't have many friends and don't go out much.
I agree with pretty much all of those.
Though, do you like parakeets? I miss having them. Specifically because they /aren't/ monotone, but sensory issues are tricky so I'm not sure if you perceive them that way.
The rest? Hell yes.
Thankfully, I can roll the SO onto his side without really waking him. Otherwise I'd be in jail for homicide.
