I have a somewhat new addiction, and i don't think there may be many here who share it with me...but I thought I would check.

I like shapewear...

Generally I only like super soft fabrics, and shapewear is made of spandex, but because of the way that it compresses, it does not bother me.

I prefer the kind without any hooks and such,,,,but in the past, I have worn the old-fashioned "shirt-bras" as parts of costumes, and I liked those too.

I enjoy the compression feeling of shapewear, and now I pretty much wear it all the time under all my clothes. I wear shaping tight black camisols and then control leggings that go from my thighs to my waist. I feel more supported and protected and slightly more confidant because I have always had a slouchy figure and the shapewear helps me stay a little more aware of my posture and helps keep things in place...I don't like the feeling of binding so much, but i like the compressed feeling..

Anyone else?...or does this sound like something most of you would have an aversion to,...?

I wear shapewear when I want to wear something that it is a bit tight on me. (for cosplay purposes mainly)
don't mind the way it feels.

Panty girdles my mother calls them. I have one in a boyleg cut that comes right up to my underbust which I wear when I want a better waist and stomach under certain clothes, when I'm required to dress nice. Plus it's the next best thing to an underbust corset I can get (I really wanna buy an underbust corset one day).

I bought some 'spanx' knickers ages ago and they felt nice and I liked the compression as it made me feel secure, like a weighted blanket. But I need the loo too often and it got me down trying to fight my way in and out of it.

I bought a shapewear bodysuit at the beginning of this winter and I love it so much I'm going to buy two more.

I usd to wear shapewear back when I was really, really insecure about my body. It compressed and made me look nice and thin and helped me to sit up straigh and look confident. I used to wear the strongest control-top pantyhose I could find, plus a shaping camisole underneath my shirts. So nice!

I don't need any shapewear now, even though I'm the same weight and size as I was when had body-image issues, but I still like the way it feels sometimes.

I like compression, too. :D

I don't need control pants or anything like that, but I love the feel of stretchy figure-hugging clothes. I wear leggings and long sleeved stretchy tops a lot. I mostly wear hipster short pants underneath. If I wear a dress I always wear tights. You get the picture.

Even though I find them appealing, I just can't wear anything that makes me feel confined and tight.

Not a day goes by when there's piece of clothing I want to wear and can't because of my sensory issues....

I Couldn't go out without shapewear. It holds me in in all the right places and makes me feel confident. I also like wearing corsets.
