When I was somewhere between 9 and 12,I took a Sho To Kan class and made it to yellow belt.

I recently enrolled in a women's self-defense class.

Years ago my employer brought in a security team to teach us all self defense. Later on, I had it again at the same company in a different office. They always pick me for the victim because I'm off in my own head, but then they find out that I actually can punch their lights out because I grew up with five brothers.

I went to Bush Judo classes for a while, in the village hall, but I quit after getting a green belt. We also did Kickboxing classes in high school.

I haven't really taken much of it in, I improvise in hand to hand combat. Oooh, and I a good jump attack(running at and jumping into combat, it would likely surprise a person if I did that)

Overall, I do what suits me best.

I would like to take Wendo.

Usually I don't have the occasion to need self defense. A few times something has happened to me, I fought back but then the attacker was not much bigger than me. I don't go out much alone and I usually just try to avoid letting people get too close to me. Most people around here are getting attacked or robbed during the day anyway, not just at night. Someone could hide and jump out at me. I would like to be prepared. I don't think it is a good idea to go out looking for a fight.

I'm into martial arts, and I enjoy it as it's a great stress reliever. It's a form of combat where I wear armor and hit people with rattan weapons or foam-tipped arrows.

I studied TaeKwonDo, Judo and Hapkido for 6 years. I have a black belt in TaeKwonDo, but only orange belt in Judo and Hapkido because I never went to all the tests for those. I wasn't as good in Judo anyway. Too much physical contact. For a year I taught beginning TaeKwonDo & Judo to the 2, 3 & 4 year olds class.

I also briefly studied Tang Soo Do maybe for a month but didn't think the teacher liked me so I quit. I studied Taoist Tai Chi for a year also.

Yeah, I took Tae Kwon Do when I was younger, but because of it, I ended up getting in trouble more for trying to teach the bullies a lesson. Like it was my fault to begin with! And no, the bullies never got in trouble, even though they always started it, need it be physical or mental.
