Pets are easier to understand than humans. They never lie, and they're always happy to see you.

I just got a dog last week, and I don't kmow how I went for so long without her. I already love her. She's a chihuahua and she's really cuddly. She never says a nasty thing to me, either (which my kids do all day). When I walk in the door she almost wags her tail off.

My dog is a living icebreaker. She helps me enter conversations with entertaining stories such as the time I gave her spa treatment and she went outside and rolled in the mud. [I sprayed her with the hose and she didn't look at me for a week. She wasn't upset, though, just mildly peeved. She's a sweetie. :)] Or how she sleeps under the covers or in my pillowcase every night, and if I move over, she moves over too so she can have bodily contact with me.

Days ago, my dad brought a chihuahua dog to the house, his name is Snickers and he's the new pet. But he only follows my 10 year old sister and runs away when I'm near to him. He only follows me for a few minutes when I give him food and my sister isn't in the house, that sucks.

And my two basilisks died :(

That's sad. Are basilisks lizards? I used to have lizards for pets when I was in school but now I realise I should have had a licence.

I love pets too , dogs mainly , but also my birds and sugar gliders and ferrets , i like them because they give me a routine and force me to do stuff even when i dont want to get up they are also really cute to watch and play with . One of my dogs has been absolute lifesaver to me the past year or so. i have to sell some of my sugar gliders because ive got to many because my pair that ive had 8 years keep having babies , i guess that means they are happy tho.

Sugar gliders are like possums aren't they? I have pet rats but they bred up and I was up to 29 which was a bit much. A pet shop took 6 a couple of weeks ago which has made things a bit more manageable.

When my marriage broke up in 1997 and my ex took the children, I got very depressed and would probably have hardly got out of bed at all except for the fact I had just got a kitten. I had to force myself to get up and go to the shop to buy him food. He also used to sleep on my bed as did the cat next door. Cats can sense when their owner is upset and will purr next to them to make them feel better.

yes sugar gliders are like possums in as much as they cary there babies in pouches, i dont know anymore than that about possums. sugar gliders look like a fluffy chipmunk with wings lol.
Ouch 29 that is a lot of clearing up and cage space. I couldnt cope with that many at the moment i have 4 in one cage and a pair with twin babies and one older baby in another , really need to get rid of the three young adults and the twins to make space available for when mom has more babies. I find it hard to get rid of them because i like to sell them in same sex pairs but so many people want little tiny babies one at a time and its not nice to sell like that unless they have a little baby of there own to pair it up with.

Mister is my baby.. He follows me around the house to every room, cleans my forehead and gets really upset when i am taking a shower or bath. He runs to check on me when i sneeze or cough. If only i could convince him that a lap is a great place to be. Cats are a wonderful thing.

I like all animals, and definitely prefer them to most humans - but especially dogs. And especially Daisy, my Lancashire Heeler. Image

I understand dogs, and they seem to understand me. I couldn't be without them.

I'm sorry to hear that they died, but how did you keep them from turning you to stone?

I got a baby bunny to show my mom I would still be alive in 9 years when he dies, but he is so cute that I can't imagine abandoning him and his little girlfriend. They are so soft and the boy is such a cutie, he always wants to be loved. Their fur also smells nice and they are clean and white. I also like the way they hop around the house and watching them eat hay is very relaxing for me. I also like the smell of the hay. Pets are super great!

My dogs know when I'm upset and will nuzzle me to get me to pay attention to them, which makes me feel better. Once, I had an infected rash and my dog Lucy sniffed the area, so when I went to the doctor that day as a walk-in, I got an antibiotic which cleared it up. My other dog, Jem has a particular yawn that sounds like he's saying "Hi" when I come home, which is cute. He also sleeps on my bed, but sometimes takes up half of it and won't move. My cats are also great pets, and can be affectionate but only when they want to be. When they are, there's nothing like a purring cat.
