I remember being told that a large head size was very common in women with AS, but it wasn't so much with men. I was just curious to see if this was true, as I have an obnoxiously large head that prevents me from wearing most types of hats.

I don't have a large head. I really don't know if it is average or small, I just know no one has ever said anything about it? My feet and hands are small, and my height is below average.

My head is one of the heads that you can't tell is large, but it is. I can't fit into any regular hats, or even most of the ones that are specialized for people with larger heads.

Mehhh, i'm a male and my head is large too.
I have the same problem with hats, i have to find them in size large.

so i don't think the big head thing is more of a female aspie thing.
i think it might just be an aspie thing in general :?

I don't know if mine is large or not. It's 23 inches around, is that big? D:

Funny...my head is pretty big. When I was in high school, we measured the heads of everyone in class for a statistics project. My head was the biggest in the class, at 24 inches around, which was really embarrassing somehow. And yeah, "one size fits all" hats never fit me, unless they stretch a lot. I wear size L or XL hats.

I wear a 6 7/8 in hats, which is a small/medium.

I have a big, not noticeably but big head. Oddly enough I have a chiari 1 malformation or some s**t. Basically means that my brain has grown back further in my head than what it should be. I probably could use a bigger one.

I manage to fit all my awesome brains in a medium to small coconut I call my head. Hats are usually too big.

Mine too. I wore children's size glasses through most of my teenage years. But hats tend to fit me okay, not too big.

Same here. Though my brain isn't so awesome. And I haven't been diagnosed so I won't vote.
My head used to be quite big when I was little when I compared it to other's people head but now it's just average or small.

The statistics may claim that the average head size of people who are autist is larger than those who are NT but there's always some differences between the individuals. Yet, it's true that some abnormalities have an impact on physical appearance but I've seen a lot of NTs with huge head (my best friend is one of them, her intelligence is slightly above average but she has no other mental difference) and a guy I talk to on msn has a small head though he has been diagnosed with AS.
