I get that treatment, and it really pisses me off.

I actually get told not to lift my own shopping, even piffly 12kg loads. Seriously. Then if I explain that I regularly bench several times that, I get told a delicate little woman like me shouldn't be lifting weights.

I think next time I'm just going to deadlift the annoying busybody up and drop them on their heads. No one would behave like that if I were a male, no matter how small, for fear of hurting my self esteem.

 I hate it when they just assume that I can do things I can't. Like call somebody I barely know and ask them for help with something.

But that hasn't got anything to do with strength.

Maybe not over shopping but in the weightroom? No, first day of weightlifting in either my junior or senior year some new guy advises me NOT to warm up with 135lbs cause I couldn't lift it with my thin little arms.

What dicks. They are probably just trying to make themselves feel better by putting you down.
