I was just wondering if anyone else experiences this. For me, my aspie tendencies seem to be greater during and right after that time of the month. The two areas I notice this most strongly in are my stims and sensory issues. I wonder if the hormones cause the actual symptoms to be worse, or if it is because I am less "in control" of my emotions and stuff, and thus I notice the tendencies more and things I can usually brush off annoy me more. What do ya'll think?

I experience something similar, but it's usually the few days before. My sensibility to loud and annoying sounds gets worse and I'm generally in a bad mood. During periods I'm usually very calm and have very little anxiety, which is weird because that time of the month is when you're supposed to be at your worst. Maybe everybody reacts to that hormonal stuff differently.

The two weeks before, I'm neurotic, stressed, anxious, moody, irritable, fidgety, even quieter than I usually am, have no patience and any noise irritates me even more than it normally does, all the usual characteristics I have, but amplified 10 fold! It's probably hormones running riot amplifiying things.
When I'm actually on my period it's the calmest I ever seem to be! I've also noticed I'm unusually organised and have very clear thinking.
So for at least one week of the month, 'stuff' gets done!

When I'm on my period, I become much more sensitive to everything, both physically and emotionally. I also retreat more into my imagination, which means a lot more stimming. And my mom has noted that my behavior becomes even more childlike than usual during that time of month.

I get clumsier before and at the beginning of my period (I have crappy gross motor skills as it is, but great fine motor skills for crafting and such). And I get an urge to clean house, which I think is the anxiety triggering a need for control.
