I'm so frugal I...

...go without wearing underwear sometimes because I don't want to buy new ones.

I'm not *that* frugal, but I'm sure I spend a lot less on clothes and a LOT less on shoes than your average NT chick.

I go through fits and starts of clothes buying... for instance, I'll buy no news clothes for so long I'll have hardly anything to wear to work (I tend to spill things, so I only get so many months out of a top before it's stained and relegated to the 'wear to bed' section of the cupboard) and then I'll go to a cheapish store like K-mart one day when it's quiet and buy a big heap of stuff.

I would say I am more so now because of my dh, but in reality money means nothing to me so I'm intrinsically not frugal. I actually have to really watch it because I will leave money laying around (on my desk at the office, in coats where it stays for a year, on counters in stores) or I will just give it away to people who seem to need it more. I have a big problem with that and I've literally given out thousands because of that. He keeps a pretty tight lid on that to protect me. He says it makes me a target to get scammed or robbed.

So, I'm not sure how frugal I am naturally. I would say not.

i'm frugal unless it's buying food (love local and organic stuff) or social activities (the random beers i do grab with lab people... or when i'm dating someone... i pay my way/share)

i like to save for long getaways.... as well as watching monies multiply in my bankaccount :D

i'm like that in video games too... i'll scrape by and save money til the very end and buy the most super weapon available ^_^

I think I can be called "frugal". I try to reuse and recycle as much as I can. I only have 2 pairs of shoes I wear all the time. I do not need more or want more. I use my cloths until they are worn out - then I get some more. If I find something I like (like a T-Shirt), I try to get it in different colors so I do not need to buy more in long time. And I dislike eating at restaurants because they serve so much food. I do not like eating that much -I dislike eating until your stomach hurts, and if I eat too much by dinner then I cannot go to sleep early because I cannot go to sleep with my stomach full.

So frugal that ziplock bags must be reused 4-5 x for bagging dry goods such as flour or veggie chips. Frugal enough to know when all the clearance sales are. Frugal enough to be able to live on meager means and prioritize. Frugal enough to make 2 or 3 trips in a small (read low gas usage) range to buy sale items for groceries.
Frugal even enough to utilize only reusable products, well, do use toilet paper and the occasional paper towel. But femm. pads or sea sponges cloth, napkins for the table, dishcloths in the kitchen, microfiber cloths to clean, and mop. All washapbe and cheaper. Any other questions? ha ha
In short- yes. Frugal gal here.

I'm not frugal at all. If I want it and I have the money for it, I'm buying it.

I thought I was a little, but I'm definately not after reading this, lol. I do try - I always make a shopping list, only go to the shops once a week, cook food at home etc but I'm very absentminded, and random purchases still seem to happen a few times a week. Shame really, every girl needs some savings.

I could never go without clean undies though. Eeek!

We shop at Winco Foods and we don't buy much sweets or junk food. I use cloth diapers and I breastfeed. I also use baby wash cloths. I use sponges or rags or hand towels to wipe up messes.

I tend to wear the same clothes I have had for years and I haven't bought any new ones nor have I bought new underwear in years. I keep wearing them, even when they are ripping apart.

I even bought maternity pants at Goodwill last summer because maternity clothes are expensive. So I just wore my regular clothes and had lot of pants with elastic in the waist and big shirts. So I didn't really need maternity stuff. But Goodwill and value Village and baby resale stores sell them.

If I wanted to be even more frugal, I'd be using more rags to clean the toilet and sink.

I also re use sandwich bags and back when I got my periods, I kept the same pad in until it was all messed up from being worn and my period wasn't that heavy anyway. I also do the gas thing too, drive and get everything done at once. I also take the bus to work since it's cheaper. I also use cloth breast pads and decided to start using cloth menstrual pads but I haven't had my period in over a year now.

I also like to buy what's on sale and I tend to buy games used. But I don't buy video games much anymore and we use netflix and Blockbuster for movies. Plus I go online and watch stuff so I don't see the point in buying or renting movies if I could find it online. I find renting necessary when I can't find it online.

Oh I'd say I'm more frugal than most; if I can get something for cheaper I will, if I can make it myself I will, if I can get it used I will. If I don't need it, I generally don't buy it, which is nice because I have money for when I REALLY want/need something special.

Sometimes maybe..Not as much as I was a few years ago. I don't like buying really expensive stuff unless I have to but I like the odd treat now and then. :D I do plan on being a bit frugal in regards to food shopping when I move to university soon. I'll be on a budget so I plan on cooking meals in bulk from scratch to save money. Hehe

I like to buy decent underwear too. I ain't so frugal that I'd walk around with ratty panties on or even without!

Not frugal, I grew up in a household where when my dad bought something, he wasn't going to do it unless it was either the best or pretty far up there (well, that was mostly when it came to food). There is nothing that I love more than food from Whole Foods, and I spend most of my income there, so I kind of inherited it from him. My philosophy is you only live once, why waste it by eating crappy food, lol. But I do understand that due to financial circumstances many do not have this choice, an I am appreciative that I do. At the same time, I don't spend beyond my means, I always meet my budget, and I don't even have a credit card.

I'm actually very frugal and only spend money on something I really want to get or paying rent and buying groceries. I rarely shop in stores now and do most of it online.

I'm moderately frugal, though I'm getting more used to spending money in the last couple years. Like I no longer mend socks with big holes and just buy new ones, unless they're my favorite then I'd still darn them. I shop at thrift stores a lot and hardly ever pay full price when buying new stuff. I make most food from scratch and freeze leftovers for later use. We don't do this out of necessity, but more habit and personal value. I don't like to waste things, it seems disrespectful. Luckily my DH and kids are all on the same page and nobody seems to pick on me. As for people outside the family, well they don't need to know that I'm wearing mended socks and $3 sweater. :D
