The subject line says it all. Just wondering if any of you ladies who have any form of autism that you want a man more like a superhero. I think of the X men character Wolverine for example. He can heal. He can fight. Then the claws of course. Sometimes I wish I can have a man like that   Then there is Transformers. Optimus Prime is so strong. Well so are Ironhide, Bumblebee and the other autobots. I know its norm for women to want protection and men are stronger than us. But I'm wondering if its common trait in autistic women to want more of these things in men. I know humans can't be like X men or Transformers, but one can only dream.

I do not recognize any of those sentiments. I am always my own protector. I would like a Wolverine, but only because he's hella sexy (in looks), and that's about it.

Optimus Prime is a machine, yes? Not interested.

Stong character beats muscle power in the long term everytime. If you have a strong man it does not mean he will automatically put himself between you and harms way. A squishy guy with strong character would even though hes fragile.

I think most NT girls are like that. Autistic girls probably less so than NT, but still sometimes.

I'm asexual, but my aesthetics in guys is for a skinny, girlish-looking guy. I find most male superheros disgusting looking. And personally I'd much rather have superpowers myself than find a guy with them, because I could never quite trust someone else not to misuse their power and hurt me.

How can you have a form of autism that makes you want a man that's like a superhero? Is that medically documented somewhere?

Sorry, I don't want a man like that either. Admittedly, I want a man who is strong enough to be with me and all my weirdness. But, that is to be emotionally strong. My hubbie is a big, round lovable guy and I wouldn't change him for the world.

Big beefy guys are sort of creepy.
