Going off on a slight tangent to the original thread, can slightly anxious be attractive?

I just realized I don't meet the qualifications to be in on this conversation... Sorry!~

I think anxious women are probably attractive to "rescuers." Had enough of them myself.

Yes, nervous women can be attractive. They bring out other peoples' protective instincts.

Men like the dominant role, and submissiveness is attractive to some. For me, no.

Someone may suffer with anxiety but not necessarily be submissive in personality.

I think on the whole anxiety is not an attractive thing, if it impinges on what the couple can do, if its quirky anxiety that could be quite endearing perhaps. It depends how you define nervy,sweating, running to the toilet continually, a lack of self esteem needing constant reassurance or someone fast talking and witty. It has many colours.

Ah, yes. Topics in the Women's Forum still headline on the homepage. Many of us post responses without realizing we're in the Women's Forum, especially when the topic's an inquiry such as this. Please, forgive the intrusion.

Men can answer this question in the sexually attractive realm. And who said men can't post in the Women's area? They seem to do a good job of it in ours.

The problem with "rescuers" is they eventually get sick of rescuing and expect you to do everything yourself. But because you had troubles in the first place with self sufficiency and because they stepped in and did just about everything, in some ways you end up worse off and with a fear of abandonment thrown in.
