Sorry if this should be in adult but I would really like women's opinions on this. I've never liked having pubic hair and the bf told me that I should try shaving it all off and I have a really hard time even trimming the thing because I can't see down there. Electric shavers tug at the hairs so it hurts so my mediocre trimmer is all I have and waxing would hurt like hell. I don't know what to do. Are there painless hair removal options for down there? What products have worked for you and which ones should I avoid? Thanks.

I'd only shave the edges of your pubic region, never the actual labia between your legs. If the hair is growing to long you could just take some of the longer tufts and cut them off with nail scissors that you don't use for your nails. If you'd want to remove all the hair I'd suggest talking with a professional.

Just trim or shave the sides. Shaving it all off will produce an itch like you might have never felt before! I wouldn't wish that itch on anyone.

Yeah, I guess I should have specified. I meant all the hair on the sides. >.<

The eaisest wy is waxing, it gets rid of everything and leaves both your legs and that aera very smooth. If you don't like waxing, I would get shaving cream and use regular shavers.

I'd recommend waxing. It doesn't hurt all that much and it's quick and lasts a long time.
Hot wax is the best, and if you can't get to a salon, you can buy a hot wax thing and do it yourself (although the first time, i'd get a professional to do it).

A razor with shaving cream works well for me.

Hmmm...I guess I'll have to find a way of getting hot wax without my mom getting suspicious. Since I don't have a car, going to a salon (unless the bf takes me) is out of the question. I'll just try trimming it as far as I can first and see what that does.

I have trouble with shaving in general, but a razor with shaving cream is what I use, and I find that if you go with the direction of the hair - not against it - it causes minimal irritation and leaves only a very small amount of stubble. It can be tough to get in a position where you can see it, but if you are able to do it in the bath sitting down, or crouching down in the shower in a sort of squat position, it can be easier to see.

I've always been afraid to try wax myself. Let me know if it works out for you.

I use a Venus Spa Breeze razor, which is slim but has a bar that you moisten, instead of using shaving cream. I'm too embarrassed to go to a spa for waxing, and probably do a botched job between the legs, where I can't see. I suggest using a mirror, and only doing away with what makes you feel most comfortable. I don't shave off all my pubic hair - I prefer a neat triangle. I tried doing a so-called "landing strip" and it looks too weird. So I'm sticking to a natural, but trimmed, triangle with shaved lips (less mess during my cycle, and makes things more comfortable for both partners during oral sex.)

I decided not to do waxing. $60 for one treatment is ridiculous. So I'm just gonna try shaving and see where that goes. Mom is looking into purchasing a laser hair removal gun. It would be awesome if she did but it is a tad expensive. >.<

Hair removal cream. I use veet and nair. Completely painless. I used to know a man who ued hair removal cream down there too. He was ginger and embarrassed by the colour so took it all off you can use it on legs, chin, upper lip etc depending on the kind u buy.

If I shave (even if it's just my legs) I itch and scratch for days on end.

I bought an epilator last year - one of my best buys.
It's great - though it takes a bit of getting used to - and takes time to do if you let growth get a little out of control.

Having hair there always bothered me (I can't stand much body hair as it always itches and drives me crazy when it rubs against my clothing) so I shave completely. It's a bit of a hassel but I've found that so long as I work slowly I don't have any problems. Probably not worth it if you're not as bothered by hair as I am though.

I've always found that electric razors work best on that part of the body in terms of avoiding skin irritation (which regular razors tend to cause problems with for me). If your skin isn't as sensitive as mine I would think that a regular razor would be simpler. Using a new/sharp razor would help with avoiding irritation. I've had trouble with my remington electric razors (batteries dying after only a little while) so these days I've adapted to using a combination of electric and regular razors and have very few problems.

I would try waxing it works the best and doesn't hurt but my brother Joker has cryed when he got his region waxed

I started using an electric razor and shaving with the grain instead of against it and that works a lot better and doesn't hurt. ^.^
