I don't care if my pantie-lines show through my pants. I wear panties and I don't see why I should care if anyone knows. I have been thinking though, other women seem to care a great deal. They even wear special lineless panties and thongs under their pants so they don't show through. Why is this? Should I care if my pantie-lines show? Someone please enlighten me as to why other women care so much.

Yeah, I don't really know why either. It never bothered me, but some people act like it's some huge faux-pas to have panty lines showing. Well I don't know about them, but I'll take panty lines over wearing a string in my buttcrack (a thong) any day.

Couldn't tell you why, but I do care if mine show. I think it's bc of me trying to fit in, and I was told that I should care about that. Doubt I noticed growing up. Besides that, it just seems weird to announce your pantie line to everyone by letting it show. Self image thing?

I like it better when it doesn't show.

It's just one more thing for females to stress over, along with bust size, zits, height, weight, fashion sense, etc. etc. I frankly could care less, as long as I am comfortable. I used to care, back in the day...

Some women worry because some guys get off on seeing a panty lines. Generally speaking pantylines only show up if you are wearing knit pants or chinos. Heavier denim doesn't show it unless your pants are too tight. I think loosier panties tend to show less too. I think women need to worry more about bra side overhangs as that is just wrong to have to see.

I don't care too much, to be honest, why does it matter if everyone knows I wear knickers?

Ah, yes, the side boobs. It's also uncomfortable, too, until I found the bras I needed. Certain non-monoboob sport-bras are pretty good (Glamorise).

And thongs should be outlawed. Only time I wore one, it disappeared where it shouldn't have, and it ain't been seen since.

This made me laugh. I always look at the person saying this (and I've heard me do it as well) and ask, why are you looking at her butt then? I mean really. Like they have no control over what they look at. I tell them if they don't like it to look away and then I remind them that it is rude and offensive to look at a stranger's butt, especially at work (where this goes on all the time). It's so silly that they even care.

As offensive, rude, etc. as it may be, I've got another question. Why does the person get distracted by a line?

I have no idea. I can't get past the fact that they are looking at someone's butt when they don't even know that person. That's completely weird behavior. They get all obsessed over what everyone wears. I don't see how they have all this energy required to stay in everyone else's business like that.

This and other things I simply do not get!

Its not the line. Its that the line is an indicator of the shape of their underwear. So people feel like they are seeing you in your underwear when you are fully clothed. Its similar to people that notice the bulge in a guy's pants.

People look at butts because butts are an erogenous zone. Similar to way apes and orangutans check out each other's butts. Most people are programmed to check out certain areas because our hormones program this into the brain. Or more like burn it into the brain. Women look at another woman's butt for two reasons. One is many women are lesbian or bisexual regardless of whether they have a husband or not. And if they have no attraction to another female they are still going to look because they are comparing whether she has a better butt than they do. That's just how humans work. I admit I look at butt's, female and male. Some people have really nice butts and its sexy. Other times I just am curious what underwear people chose to wear and often find the undies I find comfortable are apparently not very popular with other women. I have never worn thongs. I wore bikinis for awhile but even those disappear into where the sun never shines.

The bra side overhang is just plain wrong. The majority of women do not wear the right size bra to fit their boobs. So they get side overhang and this is regardless if they are overweight or slim. If you have side overhang either go to a store where they have bra fitters or read the section in JC Pennys catalog on how to correctly measure yourself for a bra and then go get the bigger size! It is more comfortable to wear a bra when it fits you right.

Man, Ticker! You have the whole rulebook! I feel so lost now. I never look at that stuff (or the bulge). I think I go through life blind. No wonder I'm stalker bait. All these rules and I am unaware!
