Why do we even dignify people who obviously don't have anything intelligent to say with a response?Flaming and all that crap is rude, immature and uncalled for.In addition, we were all born with a certain amount of brains cells .Personally ,I won't waste one of them processing this garbage.

Anyone else have some thoughts on this subject?

6 posts since March....are you sure you're not trying to start something here?

In any case, some people seem to lose control and type out the moststupid, ill-thought things. Sometimes people believe so strongly in something their fire goes awry. It happens and were human. The true test is how we deal with it.

Ok,I can see your point.I can definately see how it may look that way. However, allow me for a moment to attempt to attempt to explain myself. If what I'm percieving is accurate then is it possible that among Aspie's ,I'm that wierd one that can't quite fit in to either Aspie or NT?For example, in many ways I'm not very computer savy and am still trying to learn that culture without making a complete idiot out of myself. What I may do then is sit back for awhile try to learn some social mores among Aspies on wrongplanet and make small attempts to join the conversation.

Again,I'm kind of that oddball that can fit fairly well among people many would call normal but may just look kind of strange.I can fit well among people with Asperger's-face-to-face but web culture leaves me a little lost.In summary, I don't want to start anything.I just want to learn to talk to other people without looking like a complete idiot.Does that make more sense?

Yes. Apologies for any percieved hostilities there, I've just become a bit sick of trolls. But at a better attempt at your first question, it the same with people everywhere: they lose control, they want desperately to prove a point, they beieve in something very strongly and can get carried away. You must understand how different the internet is compared to real life. People have more courage here to speak their mind, stand up to others and speak up against things they see as wrong (for whatever reason). It's the anonymity of the whole thing. I find that the internet brings out people's confidence and allows people (Aspie's especially) to function at a reasonablt 'normal' level. I for one have more confidence online to speak up about things that interest and concern me and make my opinions known in a safe, confortable environment (my bedroom).

The internet removes all the distracting things in real life that limit my concentration and functioning (such as having to pay attention and mopitor eye contact, body language, non-verbal ques and conversational subtleties - both for me and in regards to the other person). The internet reduces everyone to the same level and limits them to only one sense (having to look at words on a screen, nothing else). I hope this (slightly long) post answered your question.

um actually i'm not sure if anyone knows exactly which flaming your referring to... :) next time it's prolly better to "post a reply" in a "thread" instead of creating a new thread

She/he was talking generally I assumed. But now it seems more appropriate, seeing as we have ol' wiggerbeater being rude.
