Hi girls
I have noticed a funny smell around some girls. This smell is not always present. It smells something iron/blood/something else. I was wondering if I can use my olfaction (do to my senestiv asperger nose) to find out if a girl has her menstruation since I cannot see it on her behavior. I do not hope this to personal question to answare for you.

A sickly sweet smell, almost makes me gag on Mondays when they bring in the new bins and take away the old bins.

Why would you want to find out if a woman is menstruating?

It can have an odor if she's wearing a pad, yes. At least that's what I've heard.

It shouldn't smell if she using a tampon/changing her pad regularly as it's something to do with it being in contact with the air I think. Having said that if you have a strong sense of smell maybe you can detect what most others can't.
Do you mind me asking why you want to know?

The few days before and during I do have an odd smell that clings to me as my sweat smells different. I find this aggravating.

The reason why I would like to know is simple. As far as I know then the time during menstruation is a diffecult time for a girl because of all those hormones. Normal guys will be extra nice to a girl during that period. Normal people would detect it during her body language/mood swings. I have problem with reaindg body language since I am an Aspie so I is trying to figure out a way to detect that time of month.

Yes they smell. I used to smell it on my mother if I got close to her crotch and they would smell in the trash too. I have never smelled my own but I don't even know if they smell since it's my own.

it does smell on contact with air I have found when I change my pad. But I haven't noticed the smell otherwise.

Yes. Most people can't smell it but I can smell mine, especially when changing my pad.

Actually, I saw a show where Joan Rivers told her daughters not to go to Yellowstone national park if they are having their periods because periods can attract bears.
