Have y'all ever had a mother who was jealous of you in some way? In my case, ever since elementary school my mom, who naturally has dark brown/black hair (but dyes it lighter the vast majority of the time), has expressed jealousy of my natural blonde hair. I remember in elementary school her saying things like, Did you know there are people who spend $1000 to get blonde hair like yours?
Even today, I have no idea what to think of that.
