do you like animals, what position it occupies in your daily life ? with which intensity ? i feel , need them like water . i mean i seem to need aniamals in my life, if not it has no meaning ,sometimes ,to te point i feel i only can relate to them ,more than humans .. or in moments i feel like in need of air,for problems. being an aspie ,we face little problems, of course ,i look for them for having my needing of aire ,to go on .
is so strong for you, ? the bond , or it is not, ? sometimes i feel vry detached to the humans ,world .and i m relieved there are animals out there ,to help me ,to distress, to feel connected to the living ,part of live. sometimes i feel i could live with no human company anymore ,but animal . i thing their emotions ,are more understable ,to me .their world of behaviour .thanks

I am crazy about animals, yes! I feel a very strong bond with animals, and in some ways I prefer their company to that of some humans, as humans can be complicated and exhausting, while animals just accept you for what you are.

I especially feel an affinity for birds and love to interact with them.

I used to be quite afraid of dogs. I like bigger dogs, ironically, than smaller dogs. My favorite is probably kitty cats. I've been restored to sanity by them.

My first pet was a parakeet, which I won in some kind of Easter contest when I was six. Oscar passed away 6 years later.

I prefer animals to humans on a visceral level most of the time. I would like to be eaten by wild animals when I die (hope that's not too morbid for anyone. It sounds heavenly to me.)

kraftiekortie -- awww, to your parakeet when you were six!

I would love to own a parakeet, except my kitty cat would probably love that too, just a little too much!

I hear you about kitties; I've had some wonderful cats over the years.

To emtyeye, I don't think it's morbid to want to be eaten by animals after you die -- that's a pretty cool reversal of how we have eaten them for millenia!

I've been thinking how I'd like my ashes to be scattered or buried in my favorite spot on a lake bankside where I feed my favorite geese and swans. Then in a way I'd be with them forever and they'd be walking about on me!
