I'm 35 years old. I've just found out in the past week that I have aspergers. First there was denial. Then, a dawning acceptance of everything that I have had to struggle with in my life and... a huge relief - the incredible feeling that I am not alone.

Now - a great pride that I am not 'ordinary' , but part of a wider community of extraordinary women who have gone through the same struggles as me and, for the first time in my life, I don't feel alone. I feel exceptional.

Thank you

Mairi

I feel the same way exactly. I'm also proud to be an aspie girl, and not alone. never denial, knew right away it was right. no more questions left unanswered.
