This news "story" is disturbing on multiple levels. Subway customers and employees heard a woman screaming in the restroom for 15 freaking minutes, but did NOT bother to go and check on her. They saw her leaving Subway BLEEDING, and also did not bother to take any action, until one of the customers heard a baby crying in the restroom.

Boggles the mind that we live in a society where you could be dying, and crying for help, and you would be ignored, so THANK GOD they used their collective brains and decided to check on a newborn's cries in the bathroom (the little fella could have been seriously injured or drowned) :

Newborn found in Subway restroom.

Mum is a homeless drug addict who will now face a lengthy prison term on attempt-to-murder and child abandonment / endangerment charges (on top of a pending narcotics charge).

Obviously, the employees should have called 911 when they heard screaming. How bizarre to do nothing.

I checked to see where the story happened..

Philadelphia. That's not exactly the rainbows amd happiness city.

Those workers were like f*ck that, I don't get enough paid to handle a crime scene. And you can't anonymously call 911.

It isn't right, but I can see how it happened.

Having rode mass transit in Detroit for 11 years, you'd have to be actively skinning a human before anyone would flinch.

I've been on a bus during a knife fight. The bus driver slammed the brakes, opened the back door, two guys shoved the two fighting parties out the door, and the bus keep on rolling.

Glad the baby is okay.
