I know some people, particularly some women, like to wear "magic pants" to make their body outline look smoother.

I don't have much use for that - but I've seen them selling at around £20 and item - much cheaper than autism compression vests - and wondered if anyone has used them for this purpose? If you did, what did you think? Did yours have uncomfortable seams? Too loose, too tight? Just right?

I'd say go to a department store and try a few different brands on and see what you think. Obviously you'll have to keep your knickers on for hygiene, but it'll give you an idea of what they're like.

You've just made me aware that I've only liked wearing close fitting jeans all my life so that they hold onto me and calm me down! Another autistic mystery solved.

I'm much the same with clothes. My grandmother recently bought me lots of more loosely fitting t shirts and I'm not sure I feel entire comfortable. I only wear tight fitting jeans when I wear jeans or I don't feel right.

I almost always keep my coat on for extra tightness too.

I decided to order a refurbished squeeze vest. Once VAT was taken off, it cost me £146. £100 of that was for my birthday from my wife's family and the rest I used my DLA for. I am excited to have something to open that I want on my birthday.
