https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexithymia
I fall on the Autistic Spectrum and the social challenge i suffer from is Alexithymia wherein I cannot extract what I am feeling and be able to relay that to others. It seems as though the anxiety and over-excitability I suffer from when talking with ppl drowns out how I genuinely feel about the ppl I am conversing with or the comments they make.

I am alexithymic too. Presentation and adaption can vary hugely between individuals. While some struggle with expression, others with identification, still others with an outright absence/inability to experience.
It's a bit of a puzzle of a trait, but I find understanding this particular aspect of autism to be very enlightening.

I took the Alexithymia test online last night and came back with a score of 118 stating I have traits. I had a friend in high school who I had known since we were 5 years old who told me every time she spent time with me it was like she had to get to know me all over again. My ex-husband told me that it took him 9 months to really get to know me since he felt I hid my feelings and thoughts about things.
