I don't really have periods any more due to my birth control.
Back when I did, sometimes it felt like all of the protective armor around my brain had been skinned off, and every little annoyance was 50 times worse, even stuff I normally wouldn't notice.

I equally hate the pill because i loose my sex drive and feel all flat.

I have a hormonal IUD, which is a little better than the pill because you don't have to remember anything, your periods basically go away, rather than being once a month when you switch to sugar, and it's a ower dose of hormones in your system. It did basically wipe out my sex drive for the first year or so, but given my history with relationships that's not necessarily a bad thing for me. I'm not sure about other side effects; I was just coming out from under my first (hopefully only) serious depression when I got it, so it's hard to separate effects.

Everything get worse when I'm pre-menstrual. Mood, body temperature, anxiety, stims, aspie traits, . . .

Actually, I do have cycles of sorts of when my Aspie traits seem stronger than usual, sometimes around pre-menstrual times, but not often.

Yes, a thousand times yes! All my meltdowns have been when I was premenstrual. It would not surprise me if other AS women found their symptoms got worse when they had PMS.

Yes!! !!

The vast majority of my tantrums happen between 8-6 days before my period, i.e. when I have PMS but haven't yet realised it so I don't know what I am thinking is irrational.

I'm finding it a bit worse now because of getting more irregular periods.

I think I have and that has made it harder to predict when the PMS would kick in. If you know when you are likely to be less than 100%, you can plan ahead a bit but it isn't easy when you're irregular.
