I've never been with a virgin, but am now engaged to one. I need non-virgin women's perspective. What is the best way to break the hymen? What were your experiences like? Thanks.

Oh- congratulations! I saw your other thread and meant to congratulate the both of you!
I was going to post my experience here but it would probably only be disheartening.
Let me just say, over the years it has only gotten better and better for us. May it be thusly for the two of you as well.

This seems to have happened fast. Just a week ago, you were a happy-go-lucky divorce', with a crush on a lady in a bookshop.

Congratulations, and enjoy.

Actually, a week ago is when we decided to get married. You're referring to a post I made about a girl I "had" a crush on. (Re-read it please.) I was relating a past experience that was relevant to the topic of that thread.

And, sometimes good things move fast!

Yes, they do.

Some people spend a lot of time planning a wedding, and considerable fortune as well.

My wife and I married within about 1-2 months of meeting. We didn't spend a whole lot on the wedding. And we've been together for 18 years.

Majorly 8) :!:

Congrats.

That sounds like the type of thing this is -- except we actually have to wait 6 months, due to circumstances on both our sides.

So, what was it like having your hymen broken? :P

Sorry, it's just weird when a man replies over and over again in a hymen thread, unless he's the original poster/questioner.

Congrats.

Mine took two times to break fully.. and it hurt. Sometimes it doesn't hurt for women. Sometimes it does. You just don't know until you try breaking it unfortunately. It might have been broken already but your fiancee doesn't realise. It can break whilst riding a bike, a horse, or even gymnastics.

Thanks. This is all familiar info, things I've heard... I just don't want to hurt her.

On the Home Page, this topic just showed up on the right side, without saying which forum it was in

Just carry on and ignore me, please.

Congratulations, Raggy. I hope you'll both be very happy.

Has she considered going to a gynecologist to have her hymen snipped beforehand? Might save some pain and tears on the wedding night.

That's kind of what I'm asking, here. What's the best way to break the hymen? A doctor? Is that always the best way? I guess it just all depends on her particular perspective. We'll talk about it together, I just wanted to get a general consensus here, if possible.

I'm not a woman, but I'll put in my two cents.
First, are you sure she has a hymen? This might seem like a strange question, but it's valid. They tend to shrink and eventually disappear with age, and are often gone by marrying age. Some girls are born without them as well. And if she does have one, it may be broken already, since they supposedly break pretty easily.

I've never broken one myself, so I don't really know about that part.
