Almost on a daily basis at one point in primary school, once in middle school.

Only with my sister.

I usually ignored girls (and guys for that matter) attempts to bully me when I was younger because i didn't really care.

A girl at college tried to start one with me for hugging her boyfriend. It didn't really work. She slapped me, I gave her a puzzled look, and walked off. On the occassions when she ran after me I just legged it. I have fairly hardcore pacifist views.

Might I add: As twisted as this may sound, I love violent women :P. Well, maybe not women who are as violent as
men but the thing about female violence is that it rarely results in someone getting seriously hurt. The more direct a woman is the more I respect her. And if she has aggressive tendencies I think she should be straightfoward instead of being all catty and sniveling.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. I can pack a punch, and in the right places you'll be crying.

Um, I am pretty sure hale_bopp. The point isnt how strong you or any other woman is. The point is that fights between women are Much LESS likely to result in someone being sent to the hospital than fights between men. Not to mention the fact that its also rarer for women to pull out and use weapons on each other in a fight. I wish I had some statistics on assault by I do have this for you from the NBCS: 90% of murders are comitted by men(which may VERY WELL include 2nd degree murder); so go figure. Its pretty freakin obvious that men not only fight more often but fight much dirtier than women  .

Because why would a guy care? And why the hell call it a cat fight?

I've been in fights with men and women, and it was no "cat fight." And it didn't end in scratches or pulled hair. I left one person with a broken nose.

So why do you care, and why the sexist slant? A fight's a fight, and it BS, no matter who started it.

"Cat fight" stinks of male titilation and pornographic interest. Witness the proliferation of "catfight" videos of near (or actually) naked women fighting in jello, mud, food, ad nauseum. That's what I'm talking about.

You may have been sincere, but given most men's interest, the question came across as condescending to me.

Your initials wouldn't happen to be JA, would they?

Sexist slant? c'mon now! For some stranger reason I find fistfights(in Real Life)to be highly amusing as long as
no one is seriously injured AND/OR no weapons are involved. I also like it when women compete with each other by
being direct and confronatational instead of being catty, manipulative, and deceptive. I donno why its called a catfight
but dont blame me cuz I didnt make up the term. You DO realize that women tend not to resort to fistfighting to
resolve disputes and jockey for status. Here in the US its considered EXTREMELY low class for women to be direct-especially if they're violent about it. So thats your answer, fistfights among women are less common and when they do occur it is kinda titlating. But beyond that I cant really explain my feelings any further.
