Ok, I read the book, in which Norah Vincent disquises herself as a man repeatedly over a year and a half, and, as a man, joins a bowling league, visits strip clubs, goes on dates, works in sales, stays in a monastery for three weeks, and goes on a men's retreat. She comes out of it very sympathetic to how difficult sex role expectations are for men to have to deal with. (Typical - reacting like a girl! )

Triangular Trees, you were saying people should read this, and that it would help people to understand why women need their own forum. It didn't do that for me, but it did help me to see why the men's forum was so full of trash talk when it existed. Did you want to talk about it in more detail?
