One of my friends from a summer event in 2004 lives in Gainsville, but alas, I don't live anywhere near there.

There is a CARD office on 13th street just north of campus. If you head north from the intersection on University, if will be on your right. They share a building with a speech clinic, but the CARD office is somewhat integrated with the university. Look for one of those blue UF signs.

I've only been to the new office once, and they have a monthly support group that I just started with.

wow, I didn't know that! Thank you.

I did call the card office about an evaluation but they only evaluate children.

I found a place that will do it but my insurance only covers ADHD evals. Here it is: http://www.ldassessment.com/http://www.ldassessment.com/

What is their cut-off age for children. I'm 19 so in a way, I just passed the age that could consider one a minor, but then again, a child can be seen as under the age of 10. But about the place you found, do they charge, because I have no insurance. And that makes it pretty difficult to get any professional help.

With my insurance I may be paying a little over a few thousand. If you call them at the number on the website they are very helpful. Good luck. Not having insurance sucks. I've been there before.

Well with that, I couldn't do it. Is there any alternatives, or funding I can find? I know there has to be something for that, since I have to get treatment for a malignant brain tumor I have, and for all of the treatment I have received (I don't know the total, but it is probably between 2 and 3 hundred thousand dollars) I have not payed a dime for it. So thank god for that, but I know they will not pay for anything related to this. But is there something similar?
