I hate having my photo taken, and if there's a flash, forget it, my eyes will always be closed, but I've taken some decent photos of myself using my digital camera, as long as I do some lighting with floor lamps, and don't use the flash---there must be around a thousand pictures of me through my life, with my eyes closed....apparently I'm allergic to the flash, haha-anyway on the other side of the camera, as the photographer, I am gifted, and can capture my subject at the exact, perfect moment in time---I like portrait photography the best.

I don't like pictures in general... I keep feeling like they're staring at me (if they're pose shots). If I am made to pose for a picture, my face automatically becomes more dead than a corpse's... If you get an action shot of me, however, you may get some facial expression...

I used to hate it, but I have a friend who is camera-obsessed so I've gotten used to having my picture taken. I hate posing, though. When people take candid shots of me, I don't mind (obviously, since I don't realize they're being taken, haha), but posed shots are uncomfortable and they all tend to look the same. I'm not good at making expressions on command...

I hate it. If someone gets a camera out I make myself scarce.

I don't mind it, as long as the photo looks good!

Unfortunately, that doesn't happen as often as I'd like...

<---- my icon is of my back.... does that answer your question?

I don't understand what expression I'm supposed to make... smile I suppose but then I just look ridiculous.

I used to not mind it much. However, as I've gotten older and put on weight, I hate it. I tend to look like a big pumpkin.

I'm sure my husband has not taken a good picture of me since we converted from the old Nikon to digital. Sometimes I swear he does it on purpose. Mostly it's because I get that awful posing feeling that I just can't even begin to cope with. I usually look like a deer caught in the headlights look and a fake fading smile.

Sometimes. If I look fat in the photo, I won't post it online. I have looked fat in the pictures before I posted on the internet because I looked thin in my camera but for some reason it seems like the picture stretched itself a little bit because I had to make the photo smaller to post online.

No. Absaloutly not. I HATE it. I can't really explain why. Probably because I like to pretend I'm not really there and just sink into the background, and photos are proof that i was there. I don't even think that made sense though :?

I used to hate it. Same as wearing a name tag. However, I've mellowed in my old age so now I don't mind either of those too much. Perhaps its a rational thing, because I love photos of my family and figure they might want some of me. As far as name tags go, I'm terrible at remembering names and so having tags makes it easier for me to communicate with people at conferences and in seminars.

ToadofSteel, how right you are! You put into words exactly what my face ends up looking like in a posed photo, like a corpse, wooden or made of plaster, and if it's a group shot, I look like the manniquin in the crowd, hahahahha I could never find the words to describe what I hated about photos of myself, thank you!

I dislike having my picture taken, but it's not so bad when I'm doing it myself. I really don't like having to stand there with a fake smile plastered on my face while I wait forever to get a photo taken. It just feels so dishonest.

Also, I have really bad teeth... crowded mouth and the results of a few years of not brushing (depression-fueled laziness), I do brush nowadays but the damage is done no matter how good the toothpaste is. Hence, I don't like photos of myself being done because smiling means showing my ugly teeth.

I don't mind having my picture taken for the most part. I preffer spontaneous picture-taking, but can only moderately tolerate posing for them.
