A very happy moment I remember from my childhood was during a warm summer rain.

I was elated to lay out on the warm driveway and let the warm rain fall on me. It was pure bliss. Must have looked a bit odd though. :D

I don't mind getting wet in the rain, unless I have to be somewhere and looking presentable.

I like the sound of the rain, especially at night.

I mind it, mostly because it seems to occur mostly on my way to work. And It seems to get cloudy and rainy within minutes even after the lying weatherman predicted sunny skies...
Once in a while, though, i like to run outside in the rain--- especially in the hot summer. Makes me feel like a kid. Then i don't mind it.

Who cares? I walk in the rain with sandals on. At least it's more comfortable than getting water on your socks in your shoes. If I had an umbrella, I'd use it, but if there wasn't one, I wouldn't complain.

Depends on the rain...

While I can stand drizzle, I don't like walking in showers.

Argh! Voted Yes when I meant to hit No.

I don't mind at all: it's only water.

I love the sound of a gentle rain on an umbrella. I also like going to sleep to the sound of rain. As for getting wet, if its warm out, I don't mind it.

I prefer to walk in the rain with a umbrella so that I don't get wet.

There are times that I don't walk in the rain with a umbrella, that's when it's only raining very lightly or just simply drizzling.

No, I don't mind walking in the rain. I just walk a little faster. I think of all the inclement weather Roger Bannister must have had to walk and run through on the way to his sub four minute mile.

I think umbrellas can be a pain in the neck to use.

Yes, I agree. I love walking in a warm thunderstorm, but the downside is that my hair gets frizzy.

I guess I'm in the minority here. I know it is just water, and my body will dry off easily enough, but I don't like having wet clothes. Yes, a light rain for a short time doesn't get me all that wet, but....

I collect umbrellas! I've got a whole bunch of them and I get excited when it rains and I can use one! So, I also get particularly annoyed when I get caught in the rain without an umbrella, because I missed an opportunity. I just think of all those poor umbrellas sitting in my closet. :(

They are really cumbersome to use, however, when one has other things to carry, or getting in or out of a car.

Quote:
I have what I assume to be an irrational hatred of umbrellas. I dont think I'm co-ordinated enough to use one, I always end up still getting wet, plus I struggle when passing people on the street, I hold it awkwardly and get my hair caught in it and all sorts. Dont even get me started on sharing an umbrella with someone else, the logistics are a nightmare!

Quoted for Truth. The last time I ever used an umbrella was during a storm in which the wind blew it inside out. Pointless. I love rain a lot more that I live in desert.
