Anyone else suffer from Hypochondria?
Hypochondria, like depression, started for me when I was a teenager. Every little change, no matter how small, triggers "cancer fears". My one remaining vice, pipe smoking, triggers my Hypochondria on a regular basis despite the fact that I'm a light smoker, (no more than one bowl a day). I've gathered all the statistics that I can and "light smokers" are 1 to 3 bowls a day and have a relatively low risk, if they don't inhale, (which I don't).
Pipe smoking is almost like "exposure therapy" for me, a challenge to enjoy something without worrying.
My Hypochondria follows my depression cycle almost exactly.
