ick... sand between my toes has always been something ive always hated... ahh another benefit of a powerchair, your not walking on the sand

being hugged big one on me... big one... i like getting deep pressure massage/squishing done on my head... i miss it how my girlfriend would hug my head a lot he he...
ahh... nothing like a hot tub... too bad the hotel near us does not have a chair lift that goes into the hot tub (no not my powerchair you transfer onto the lift... yes i am explaining this because some people have asked me "you can go in a hot tub in your powerchair???")

Me too. I actually like the feel of mud and sand on my feet, but once it gets stuck between my toes, it's just gritty and unpleasant.

I like to feel clean, if I take a shower daily I get used to it and so it doesn't feel as good, unless I've gotten sweaty and grimy in one day, so I tend to shower every other day. And it feels great.
I like the feeling of a clean mouth and the smell of fresh breath after I've swished listerine and brushed.
I like warm water running from the back of my head down my back and my front during a shower.
I like goosebumps and to get short chills from head to toe.
I like jumping into cool sheets when I go to bed. I like it so much I squirm in excitement.
This one may take some explaining. I work at a college as custodian, during breaks I like to sit in the teachers swivel chair to the side of a students desk and chair, which have metal legs, and swivel side to side bumping my bare legs(I wear shorts) against the cool metal. It feels good.
As terrible as getting a cold can feel, I usually like the way my brain feels when I'm sick, I don't know how to describe it.
Many others as well.

i dont shower every single day either, but the reason i only shower every other day is because of my mobility issues...
i like the smell of listerine, the taste is good too... we use it along with a special chemical wash due to my gag reflex being so strong with this disease that if i use toothpaste it aspirates into my lungs...
i love taking hot showers...
i cant stand the cold... cant stand goosebumps... cant stand cold bed...
hope to see you back again on the thread to list off more sensations you like

Agreed.

I don't really like getting hugs much, it's just so akward. =/ But sometimes I want to give hugs. I can't get massaged because it makes me feel ticklish, and I hate that. Yeah, tickling is no fun.
Wind can feel good too, especially on an outerwise warm day.
And I'm not big on pain, but dull aches - I mean how it feels some time after I've fallen - are good.
Uhm, this might be weird, but I like how toilet paper smells. It just reminds me of the hospital, and that's so cozy. I almost wish I were back in the hospital, but that's silly, 'cause it's not like I WANT to be sick or injured.
Hot showers are nice... but I hate it when my hair is all wet afterwards! Ew, clingyness. I don't like it when clothes are so thight they feel all clingy either. I also don't want the neckline to be too close to my throat, as that makes me worry it will choke or tickle me.
And sleeping in darkness, but I'm so used to that that it's just normal now.
Oh! And I like sad stories. I mean, when the story manage to emotionally touch me, so I feel sad, and I feel a tug in my chest. Yeah, uhm...

welcome to the forums lurv.
I love getting hugs... i cant really "give" hugs because i dont have much arm strength at all due to the neuromuscular disease i have. though i love getting extremely tight hugs... (no skinny people please i cant stand bony hugs)
I am the same about being tickled unless its on my neck and very short...
I cant stand wind... and i like hot weather to be honest...
I cant stand pain PERIOD... ANY pain of ANY type...
Never really "smelled" toilet paper...
Ha ha ha, i love a hot shower, and i love clingyness... i wish my whole wardrobe were neoprene, very clingy all over and warm

i know all about the dull ache thing... when i was 13, i broke my foot, and when it was in a cast, i would somtimes bump the side of it to get that dull ache.. cause i found it enjoyable.. i thought i must be crazy!! course, that was long before i knew anything about ASD. i don't like clingy wet hair, either, and can't stand hair on my neck. so, i have my hair cut short in back and only have 2 long peices in front.

odd... i cant stand any pain of any kind... the only pain that i can stand (because i dont feel it) is extremely strong tight compression, you can squeeze me till my eyes bug out and i will continue to tell you im not in pain from it. i love clingy wet hair but my hair is not very long. my old girlfriend would lay on top of me back first after she just got dressed from the shower sometimes and i would love that wet warm clingy feeling of her hair on top of my face and head. dont have to worry about the hair on my neck thing...

Ah.. so many:
Hugs. Not weak hugs, but big enveloping hugs that almost crush the breath out of you. (Same goes to play-fighting/wrestling. The combination of comforting human contact and punching/hitting eachother is quite enjoyable)
And tassels! Like the kind hanging from lamps. I can never restrain myself when I see one of those.. I love running my fingers through them, and even braiding them sometimes.
Caves. ..I've never actually been in a real cave-- but I like the feeling of cool, damp air. Like in those pretend caves (where they keep fish/snakes and the like) at zoos, places like that.
I love any cave-like sensation, really- like lying down with the blanket over my head.
Soft, freshly-washed bed sheets. Like mikebw, I too squirm (and sometimes squeal) in excitement/pleasure.
Those mousepads with the squishy lump in them.
Braided hair-- small braids mostly. I'll braid my hair a lot, just to run my fingers over it.. it just feels neat.
And, (this may be a strange one).. Having a sunburn. See, I tend to be cold a lot but with a sunburn I feel warmer in general. And I especially like being in bed under the covers, lying on my back and my skin being oddly, pleasantly sore but warm; makes me feel like a human furnace! O.o I don't know either..

im the same as you on hugs... i cant stand the weak ones, i like the crushingly strong hugs. (maybe i should marry a cute woman sumo wrestler? soft squishy extremely tight hugs, and also can be very nice sweaty and sticky, i love that sweaty warm sticky feeling... its very comforting to me.) i do not like getting punched or hit though.

I love any cave-like sensation, really- like lying down with the blanket over my head.
i like hot humid stickyness. so cold damp air does not really sound that good to me...
not strange there... i dont like sunburn though, but i used to sit in front of the heat vent forever and every time i kept thinking "i should have burns by now" i wish i still had the ability to do that, but no longer can because i cant walk and move much for myself

Yay we finally got my x-rays yesterday... funny thing is now they are going to do me every 3 months for my spinal problems... it took 45 minutes and the full news post is linked below
X-Ray News Post
So i am going to reiterate one of our older questions
lead aprons... who here likes the way it feels... *raises hand* i admit i have to say yes... and ive fallen asleep countless times while getting my big yearly x-ray series done (takes about 20-30 minutes) i decided to do some googling today and lo and behold i find the ones that the radiologist wears that goes all the way around you...
http://www.axms.com/productcart/pc/view ... product=82 not bad on pricing either... even has the neck thingie like my radiologist has, sweet sweet pressure on my neck, i love pressure on my neck! another cool thing is, simple to mummy wrap too... just get someone else to help you and they strap your arms inside with the belly strap man... i would fall asleep soooo easy that way...
too bad my parents dont understand me enough to do interventional things like this otherwise i would be looking for this under that christmas tree about time i stopped loosing sleep to my sensory issues...
so heres a few questions,
when you go for x-rays do you like the lead apron?
would you sleep in one at home if given the opportunity?
would you not be embarrased if sensory issues made it necessary to wear in public?
i would answer yes to all three.. if people asked me on the third id just say "aww shucks... forgot to take my apron off when going to break..."

I love getting hugged... i cant really hug people worth much because of how weak i am and how limited my movement is. i cant sit on the floor either but before i had this disease i used to sit on the floor right in front of the heat vent. i love tight warm places and thingies
