Oh, really? I like Old Navy, never had a problem there aside from when they sell a lot of fleece. But the other places, YES.

Old navy has those pictures of half-naked men that are supposedly attractive wearing their jeans all over the place... it almost makes me finally understand why there are homosexuals on this planet...

I have never ever seen pictures like that at Old Navy. Places like Abercrombie and Hollister, though, I have.
But pictures of half-naked men has nothing to do with being homosexual.

Ugh. I hate, really hate, fleece. Hanes Her Way(TM) used to make these sweats in a 50/50 cotton acrylic combo. They are really comfy! I've had this pair for nearly four years, and they are in great shape. I have been searching all over for sweats made like this, but all I can find is this cheezy stuff called fleece. It pisses me off that Hane's has lowered their standards just to corner the Walmart market. I even called them, and asked why they didn't make these sweats anymore, but they could only come up with lame excuses.

Really, I have yet to have someone else say they hate fleece. It's just the most horrible fabric, isn't it? My mother thinks I'm crazy for hating it. From wikipedia: "Fleece is a vegan alternative to wool that can be made entirely from recycled plastic bottles and is very light, soft and easy to wash." Plastic bottles, no wonder.

I've never seen the cotton/acrylic ones but cotton/poly. I don't like those, the underside of them is kind of fleecy. I could only stand to wear them if I have another shirt under it.

You can't just run to the exit door, you have to pay first. =P

Same here. Something about fleece sets my teeth on edge. Someone gave me a pair of fleece sweats, last year, for Christmas. I thought maybe I could layer them with something else. But the first time they went into the washer, they shrunk so small that I had to give to a Thrift Shop! :x Thanks for the info on what fleece is made of. Plastic bottles indeed!

I love shopping.

seriously. I do.

Well rephrase that.

As long as its in a bookstore, music store or video store, or some odd store, thats random.

I don't mind it though.

Most of the time, when I go with my Mom, I usually head off to the closest store in the mall I can find, normally Waldens. Look at stuff there, then go to Amazon and buy it.

Yeah, I do that in HMV or Virgin Megastore or w/e with music. Except I get it off uTorrent free. If there was somewhere I could get free books... I would be in heaven.

There is. I just don't remember, but it is possible.

I can stand shopping if I have to, even though it is overwhelming.

My solution to the overwhelmingness of shopping places is simply to shop at places that are open 24 hours. Go at like 1 or 2 in the AM and it's like you own the store.

I actually work in a big box store and I can survive without any problems. Sometimes I'd rather be in the store than be at home by myself. Sometimes the mere presence of people actually helps my loneliness.
Sometimes, however, when the works gets overwhelming (especially this time of the year with the way that the store gets trashed by the volume of shoppers), I can't function properly.

There is nothing simple about Walmart.

It's big, chaotic, fluorescent, and there's this effect the cash registers make of beeping in a slightly off-unison and echoey way, all of which gives me a headache really fast in there, or gets me to freeze up, or both.

(And yes, I do sometimes have to shop there when it's cheap and I'm close to broke, regardless of not agreeing with their business practices. When I can, I send someone else.)
