I prefer real-life forensics.

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

unless you just need more sleep or time alone i think boredom is usually a good sign of interesting changes approaching, revolution. If you don't just shut it up with consumption, TV, or whatever. Think what you might have been avoiding doing, afraid to say or do, in some context, and that might be it.

I have recently become fascinated by nuclear power and weapons, especially accidents sites like The Zone of Isolation (real name) around Chernobyl. The game S.T.A.L.K.E.R is set within this site. There's a lot of info on the net about this and loads of interesting photos of the abandoned towns nearby.

If you enjoy English humour I'd suggest Little Britain (tv show)

Good (and serious) suggestion, but it doesn't click with me. Thanks anyway.

Ian Fleming stated in From Russia With Love that whomever the gods wish to make mad, they first make bored. I wouldn't be surprised.

Hmm, maybe not. I've seen some pretty horrific pictures of victims of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. And the other victims, mostly of politics in the immediate postwar era.

Tried it. It's The League of Gentlemen's poor cousin, and the only thing going for it is Tom Baker's narration.

I get alot of mileage out of fire spinning. It's not a good hobby to take up without a teacher of some nature as fire is kinda dangerous.... but despite the fact that I'm reasonably unco and not good at most sports or video games - I'm pretty good at the whole spinning thing. The number of 'tricks' you can learn and the variety of short staff/long staff/double staff/poi/rope dart etc means I haven't run out of interests yet.

If you don't want to play with fire, you can get glow toys to do the same things.

I've also learned the basics of juggling and devil sticks (which I could never get before learning to spin), and gone and tried some weird stuff, like trapeze classes and clown school since I started playing with the whole circus sports thing.

If you enjoy virology, perhaps a topic within molecular biology or microbiology?

Are we talking computer programming, or what I am doing now?

Nah, I don't wanna get singed. Fire makes things dead. :) I don't think I have the hand-eye co-ordination for any of those. Thanks anyway.

*laughs* I understand that. At the risk of being a pedantic Aspie though - it's not really a hand-eye coordination thing - you can't watch the movements, or even the toys your spinning most of the time or you'll mess up the tricks - you do it mostly by feel. if you ever get a chance, try it sometime without the toys lit - I've seen a few aspie's be surprised by how easily they get it.

Believe me, I've tried whirling sticks before. Not very spectacular, I do it too slowly and boringly.

I need to get up the gumption to start studying the California driver's manual so I can start on the path towards my driver's license.

Already have a driver's licence. Just don't ask me to parallel park.
