On the internet, I'm a lot more articulate, more open, and on some stuff, I may even come across as aggressive or arrogant, but I'm usually not like that in real life.

I'm probably a better diplomat IRL than I am online. Mainly because it's online that I rant more. It's much harder to find a sounding board IRL. Of course there are things that I would certainly say to people's faces if given a chance - except that I would have to handle it a little differently.

You are different in real life?

Thank God for that.

(Could you bring a little bit more of that persona here? Please?)

Hit the nail on the head for me.

I think people like my better online. I am funnier and smarter online than off. It seems like online, all my best traits come out, and offline, all my worst do.

Unfortunately I'm prone to being a boring know it all in both arenas.

I'm more likely to speak my mind, here than I am, in real life.

Way different. Way more outgoing and confident. What do you expect, with such a degree of anonymity?

oh hayul yeah...;) I write with an accent-neutral prose, but IRL sound like a Texas @#$-kicker...;)
I can edit the text on the screen (and often do), but can't cram the words back in my mouth if they come out wrong...;)

I know they don't even want to or mean to be dopey!

No, I find I'm able to express myself the same with writing as when I'm speaking :D

One tends to be less inhibited with e-mails, and internet forums and messaging...

...but as aspies we may not be as inhibited (socially) anyway.

My social anxiety is certainly less, And I have more time to structure my statements/actions.

On the internet I can't think of anything to type when (and if) I'm replying to a serious thread or discussion while in real life I can easily contribute.

I can't think of anything else besides that.

I am more assertive online, FOR SURE!

I usually appear fairly passive, though really it is not passivity and more that I simply don't do social. Combine that with my lack of decision making capabilities, inability to ask for things on my own, etc I look like the quiet, shy, passive type...which I am not.

Online, I am my own true voice

Online I seem perpetually cheerful, when in reality there are times when I get really sad.

I find it difficult to discuss things IRL. Because I need time to formulate thoughts, and once I've formulated my thought the topic is dead. That's not the case on the Internet. On the Internet a topic can go on for days, and I can formulate and re-formulate while typing. I can even type a message, read it, think and then delete it to type a better message.
But that's just on message boards.
On IM, I tend to accidentally say things that can get misinterpreted. And in accord with Murphy's Law, they do.

In real life I sound dumb and am quiet. I write better than I speak, as a child all my apologies were written out rather than spoken because I would start laughing alot.

I seem to piss everyone off on this site... waah... I don't mean to! I do have real problems with wording and getting my meaning across so I guess I sometimes seem to be angry or aggressive in my writing without meaning to be.
