not crawl out of my skin creepy... the smile suggests one thing while the eyes suggest another... I understand what this expression can mean, but there is an ambiguity to it that I dislike. Strongly.

Like a clown.

I laugh at people who smile at me, who "pull" any type of overt face; I just find it unknowingly funny for some reason or another (I have no control over my laughter). Naturally, this had led to some funny incidents (how many times I had detention due to laughing at teachers...).

i dont like looking at it either. There are just too many different expressions at once all contradicting each other. It kind of overloads me. Ewwww. And I think it is the eyes, they have a kind of disturbing look.

wide eyes portray surprise
wrinkled forehead portrays bewilderment/lack of understanding
one side of mouth stretched, slightly open portrays disgust.
Both corners of mouth elevated portrays happiness, but this is not echoed by the eyes so probably 'polite' happiness (fake happiness).

So: person in photo is surprised and disgusted, but is not sure if they are reading the situation right - person would rather be happy, but does not actually feel happiness.

Disturbing, but slightly amusing... Couldn't help but laugh when I first saw it, but have to say those eyes are going to haunt me for a little while.

yes. totally disturbing, i think what makes it so creepy is its so up close, that you think the person is inches away from your faceah :(

It makes me think of my own attempts at an artificial smile, for some reason.
