Oh great, another trait of mine that can be defined by autism. Sheesh.
Yeah, I do that often, although I thought it was because I'm very short, so I'm used to doing that when I sit down so I feel -some- contact with the floor, but...

As a child quite a bit, as an adult, seldom.

I always did as a child and teenager. Now, I only do it if I'm in bare feet or socks. I hate the feeling of anything under my feet!

Today, sometimes. My friend once brought it to my attention when I didn't realize I was doing it. In early grade school I did it all the time, but later the way I mainly walked changed to something more flat-footed(heel on the ground first).

hell yeah i love it it makes my calfe muscles feel all nice and tight and stretched etc etc.

i apparently 1st started doing it when i had a routine medcal check up at my primary school and i was checked for my balance, with walking on toes being one of the exersises.

i think its a typical symtom of those with aspergers but it usually evident in children and grows out with age. i still do it at the age of 17/18

Sometimes. I used to do it all the time but now I've been deliberately trying to change that habit. Its working out pretty good. :)

Does anyone here tend to stand with their weight shifted on their toes? I do and its very annoying. My balance is so poor because of it, if anyone barely pushes me I fall over.

Yeah, that's how I learned to walk but I've put more effort into walking flat-footed... shoes >.<

Very strange...

I used to have to trail the walls in grade school. Even to the point where I would follow the wall into the alcove where everyone hung up their coats. I always imagined my trailing fingers as some sort of vehicle cruising along a road. I eventually learned to jump the vehicle so I could just walk past the small alcoves and continue trailing again after I passed them.
I never walked stepping with toes first, but that is most likely due to my incredibly flat feet making it very difficult to do so unless you take very small steps. I used to curl my toes over and walk on the top side of the first knuckle. It is very awkward to do and I could never do it for long, plus my mom got real mad at me for doing it. I just liked the feeling. I also stand on the sides of my feet quite often and still do to this day.

I find myself walking on my toes from time to time, I don't know why and I didn't know it was an autie thing until now, it's just something I do. I also have the urge to tap against walls and stair railings especially those that echo.

Kind of, because I put most of my body wieght forward onto the balls of my feet and often raise my heels up off the ground habitually

have always walked on my toes. well, more like the balls of my feet. i think mostly due to always being afraid of making noise around the house.

I walk on my toes. Mostly because my boots have such thick heels that I'm practically walking on my toes already, so when I take them off I keep doing it.

I walk on my toes all the time. Though not in public. When I did it as a child running around I felt like some kind of large flightless bird.
