Apparently its supposed to be credible

I never do anything like this,
but in an attempt to prove them wrong,
I figure I've got nothing to lose!

I dont believe those things. :( But I would like to know what happens.. Just to add to my list of Why I SHOULD or SHOULDNT reconsider those things.

In the past I have heard so many stories about how instead of sending cash they sent coupons or you have to join some type of club or get a membership. You know, stuff like that.

Good Luck! :)

These things don't work. The only people who benefit are the ones running the scheme AND the amount of effort that you have to go to makes it even more of a bad idea.... how many hours would you have to put in to get an IPOD? If you actually took on some part time work and worked the same amount of hours you'd probably be able to buy an IPOD three times over.

I know I sound like an old git - but if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

I looked into these schemes just to see what the latest scam was.

Doubt that works but Ive heard that alot of people are actually winning Xbox 360s in the Pepsi contest, probably everyone thinks its a sham so the ones who actually do use there codes are quite few.

Well I did actually get a free ipod.
Mine was from freeipods.com

It was really easy, but I used ebay to post the link.
Ebay does not appreciate this apparently, they suspended me for a while. But I had all my referals in like a week. And got my ipod about a month later.

I now see that it is the same website, so yes I can tell you that it is legitimate. Or at least it was last year.
They are enlisting people like you and me as advertisers.
You get a bunch of people to sign up for some free trial or something, and that is worth money to them. They get a deal on the ipods and keep the rest of the commission for themselves. It will not last forever of course, because it is playing off of an outdated marketing strategy.

This is a scam, if you try and post your referral link most forums will ban you, it's called SPAM.

edit: if you do try this, do it someplace you never visit, because the response you receive will make you think you're back in junior high again.

Just as a side note...

If, by some chance, you do receive a free iPod, make sure you check your pockets thoroughly before doing laundry. :(

Oh, your poor ipod! Nano's are just TOO small for words! I'm getting a Creative Neeon, far better.

The BBC advertised one free ipod site so I doubt they're all dodgy.
