Does anyone here tend to stand with their weight shifted on their toes? I do and its very annoying. My balance is so poor because of it, if anyone barely pushes me I fall over.

Yes, but I don't have problems with balance like you do. I really enjoy standing or walking on my toes, and it helps to "wake me up" at times. It also makes me feel like a cat.

I shift my weight from my heels to my toes and back a lot, like the Einstein-like Help character in Microsoft Word :).

Um, that means back as in movement; I don't shift my weight from my toes to my back...

I go up stairs on my toes too. My mom said I never walked on my toes as a kid, but others have observed me doing so on ocassion.

I do the same thing, it's an advantage though when you have huge (size 14) feet. It adds a lot more spring in your step when going up stairs or sprinting.

sometimes. In some situations it's easier to, like on the beach. Alot of my shoes force me to work sort of on my toes anyway.

I walk on my toes sometimes. I do that, because I would like to be a little taller. I'm one of the shorter people in my family and it bugs me sometimes. It also makes me feel like a Tiger.

I walked on my toes my whole childhood. Drove my mom crazy (she was NT). It just, I dunno, felt natural.

I don't do it much anymore... but it still feels kewl to do it. Now, I work on stability - I need good stable footing for weightlifting.

My son's a "toe walker".

It's a sensory integration issue. If you walk on your toes, chances are you also drag your hands along walls, railings, etc. when you walk.

I also hold the railing becasue on more than one ocassion, I have tripped going down stairs.

It doesn't feel too good either.

I go up and down stairs on my toes, but I don't walk up on my toes. I have seen some children doing this, though.
