This author has also a blog which is undeniably one of the best blogs I ever read. And she writes also really cool Harry Potter fanfiction - some of her fics are translated into English.

I'm obsessed with my own fantasy world. It's got lots of different characters from different series in it, but the setting is of my own creation. I spend way more time there than I do in the real world.

The vast majority of the characters in my world are my friends. However, there is a fictionalized version of a former real life friend who acts as my arch enemy.

My imaginary self is outgoing and says what she thinks, in contrast to my withdrawn and quiet real self. But she is still an Asperger's girl at heart.

I get caught up in sci-fi alternative histories; Videssos (Turtledove), the Lost Regiment (Forstchen), 1633-whenever (Flint), Civil War (Harrison),Stirling has one too, etc. Thought about Star Trek some (I know more than I should, but less than a good many..;), Lord of the Rings would have been more fun with gunpowder, but that's me...;)

I love on a dream world in my head; sometimes I combine my dream world with the real world.

I like imaginary worlds storylines of all types like Fantasy, Futuristic, Mirror Realitys, Secret Societys and theres probably more but I think Post Apocalypse interests me most. I like to imagine being in a world where I am one of a handful of survivors that will have to rebuild and I could do anything I wanted.

I devoured the Dragonriders of Pern books when I was in high school. :D

I had a Myst fixation and was told off by my parents for it on a few occasions. :)

I often daydream and fantasize about possible future/sci-fi worlds, alternative histories, and utopian societies.

I've usually built pretty elaborate fantasy worlds in my head - starting when I was a child and one of my favourite activities was drawing maps of imaginary islands and countries. I've been sticking to a pretty consistent imaginary world since I was fifteen or so. At first, it was populated with people I knew, but I eventually dissociated it from reality totally. Nowadays, I find it very relaxing to daydream about stuff like the exact system of government, the relative role of religious and secular authorities, etc. Sometimes something exciting happens, like a civil war or an epidemic. I guess my imaginary world is pretty much a cross between classical and medieval, without gunpowder, but with the printing press invented (there have to be books).

The two fictional worlds I've gotten occasionally so immersed in as to daydream and imagine myself there are Tolkien's Middle-Earth (I was discontented when the story ended so I decided to continue Aragorn's bloodline in my head) and the background world of Morrowind, a computer game.

Same here and I've played mainly Pern-based text RPGs (MUSH/MOOs) since 1998.

I'll do this a bit... though I definitely feel like I'm living my 'real life' to a full extent as well, so it's all good. I know that many people- mostly adults, and often people in the mental health profession- will say that at a certain age/point in your life it becomes 'unhealthy' and 'not normal', but honestly, if you're not hurting anyone, what's the big deal? If nothing else, it's a good way to expand your imagination.

I did in 7th-9th grade. And whenever I watch the movies or read the books I take little vacations back to visit.

Since I started reading. There are two really huge obsessions that lasted over several years. First it was the world of Digimon, later then Harry Potter, which is the one world that fascinates me even now. My thought ultimately turn to there again and before I attended the upper forms, I even spent my whole classes daydreaming and coming up with stories that took place in the world of Digimon/Harry Potter. Although I rarely drift off as much any more, I'm still not cured of this obsession, because half of my free-time is spent somewhere in the magical world. Whenever I'm not on wajas or talking to a friend, then I'm daydreaming, reading or writing.
