how old are you?
and what is your current job? if you have one? also, did you choose your job based on your obsessions?

I've done many tests on this and as it turns out, my right brain is more dominant than the left. I learn better visually and am an emotional thinker.

As a neuroscience enthusiast, I disagree with the idea of one-sided brain dominance, aside from the fact that males have slightly more lateralization than females, on average. Everything we do involves multiple parts of the brain, including both sides.

However, I like taking surveys, so I will participate.

I am female, which means that I am likely to use both sides of my brain in a more integrated manner than most males do. I do not believe that anyone with normal brain function is left brained or right brained.

I am currently unemployed, in the process of moving. I would like to have a job related to one of my obsessions, but this has yet to happen. My interests are in music and biology.

(This depends on the job! At work, I have to do boring tasks over and over. I systematize so that I can think about other things while working. I like to find new ways of doing things that I enjoy, though.)

I don't know how to score this because I couldn't answer all of the questions. I considered just not participating, but I concluded that the results would be biased if respondents were limited to those who could easily relate to either A or B in each question and subscribed to the left brain / right brain idea.

I got a 7.5 (I decided that where both apply I would add 0.5 to my score. I am 30, I am a scientist (biology) and I am following an interest to do my job (although to begin with I wasnt actually as in to it as I am now). I am not diagnosed with AS, but think that I am borderline between AS and NT (thats what the tests say)

It depends on the job, some require rote repetition and others are just more fun flying from the seat of your pants while you attempt to find a new method of doing something... of course this may be related to the fact that I work in one of my obsessions so finding out more is fun.

This is entirely on priority... so the answer is yes. Sometimes you do easy first... others the important... I mean you don't walk the dog before going to the ER because it's easier but you may make dinner and wash the dishes before laundry because they are easier if not as important at that time.

I scored 12. Pretty balanced.

I want to thank those who were willing to spare their time to participate in my survey once more. They have been a really great and a big help to me.

If you compare the test results of these people, you will see that most of the Aspies who took the test are left brained.
this does not mean that they solely use their left brain, it just means that they are influenced stronger by their left brain.

those whose scores that indicated them as right brainers may not be completely Aspies. They may also have other mental health conditions such as ADD or Autism.

It is odd, I come out in quizzes as left brain dominant, but I have a math disability. I wonder how that can be.
