If you had to choose one, which would you rather be?

I choose stupid and happy -- and I think I'm pretty much where I want to be!

Doesnt matter, any of the two would be an improvement

Why can't you be smart and happy? Why are the choices smart and unhappy or dumb and happy? The two aren't necessarily mutually exclusive.

Obviously.

Their is a point to this poll though.

Their is an obvious answer and I am interested to see how many people pick the wrong one.

I guess I'm obtuse then, because I don't think that there is an obvious choice. I guess I had better mark dumb and happy.

The correct answer (and there is a correct answer) is stupid and happy. If everyone with AS would try and understand this, then you have taken the first step to becoming more happy.

I don't see how choosing intelligent and unhappy is the wrong choice. They seem both the same to me in terms of whether they're right or wrong.

Maybe some people would rather be intelligent at the cost of their happiness for reasons other than themselves. I think a world of intelligent people with depression would be a better place than our current reality, then again if everyone was intelligent perhaps most people would be happy... This kinda depends on people having some level of altruism or at least indifference towards the feelings of others, if the intelligent people were all malicious then i don't think it would be much of an improvement. :?

I chose intelligent and unhappy, because with behavioral modification, and with the right medication, as well as therapy, one can become intelligent and happy.

I'd choose to be intelligent and happy.

I'm happy. I picked the second choice anyway. I can live with being unhappy.

There is no wrong choice.

Maybe wrong and right for you, but different people mean different truths.

I was going to see if I could opt for the middle ground, but I like this answer.
