I pick up on vibes quite a bit. Even my NT friends don't notice some of the vibes I pick up. For instance, I feel absolutely no attraction whatsoever toward supermodel-looking girls. And I didn't feel much respect for high school athletes, either. When I see them, the vibes they send are more toxic than radiation from Chernobyl. As a result, they cancel out any attractive qualities of good looks.

No, you are not.

I pick up on vibes. I can feel peoples' presence, some more strongly than others, and if someone in the same room as me is feeling a strong negative emotion it feels like I've been hit in the back of the head.

I have a little of this feeling. It feels sort of weird, and at times I think it's merely my imagination playing tricks on me.

Would everyone please post a list of their abillities involving vibes. Here are mine: sensing emotions, sensing others presence, tracking people, searching
for vibes, transmittingvibes intentionally and changing the type of vibes I give out e.g happy to angry. This may or may not be connected but I can also manipulate the electricity in my body slightly.

Yes, fellows! Keep talking!

I know what all of you are saying because just about everything I see on this thread echos some of the things I pick up on. And yes, as for vibes people give off, I'm like a satellite dish. I "see" the signal before the other party "shows" it.

We may not have that innate intuition that NT's take for granted in interpreting unspoken social clues but there definitely seems to be that psychical intuition, some Aspies are more in tune with it than others.

This is definitely worthy of further investigation.

Actually, I only feel vibes (negative vibes that is) if I'm focusing on the person. Which was always the problem of why I wouldn't notice someone was getting angry towards me, because I wasn't paying attention to them in the least and just doing my own thing.

But if I am attending, I pick up on negative or discomfort vibes fairly easily. Not perhaps as easily as some of you others have mentioned.

I suppose I'm probably average in vibe-picker-uping.

I'm pretty sure that DarkDay wants to study vibes in greater depth at some point.

The scientific community seems not to accept psychic phenomena at the moment. I've been trying to research it on the Internet and the range of opinions - from 'it's all true, and incidentally the Illuminati abducted me' to 'it's all wishful thinking and things are only true if they're directly measurable' - is amazing. I like to think that the answer lies somewhere in between.

I know of lots of Eastern Mystics who claimed to be able to.
A really interesting book is Truth Vs. Falsehood: How to Tell the Difference by David R. Hawkins.
The potential to attune oneself to subtle changes in the electrical field is always present, how well one can do it, as well as how impartial one can be at it, is directly related to the psycological growth of the individual.
