This video asks a question of whether a treatment a young female recieved for autistic symptoms could be a cure for autism. What do you think?

I don't have audio now so I didn't watch the video, but few things rattle people more than "cure" (which I don't like either) or even "treatment" (which I think are sometimes reasonable) discussions (maybe "self-diagnosis" is up there as well) so that may be the reason noone's responded (yet).

I just wanted to say that I for one definitely don't want this site to be the size of Youtube. That's crazy.

I think if and when a treatment is found - though, as with pretty much everything, I don't believe any single treatment will treat every single person; what works for some won't work for others - it will probably cost a lot at first, but then come down in price over the following years. As with everything else in technology. Nothing remains cutting edge forever, so it'll become cheaper than $15k.

The WP server has enough problems with the current amount of members and visitors as it is.

It sounds like it did a very good job in helping the girl,but it did not sound like a cure,it actually sounds like she has been brought up to a Aspie level.
can't see it ever being a autism cure as there are different possible causes of Autism,what would work for one might not work for another.
It would be good to know if any adult Auties have had it and what effect it has had.

I, myself, don't think I need a cure for my autistic symptoms, because I have already accepted Asperger Syndrome for who I am, and I think it'd be better to keep it in my case than just off my back. But I do know that some kids with severe Autism desperately need a cure, so I think that people should keep researching.

And you were right about the "any single treatment" comment. Concerta didn't work as well as I expected, but Stratterra is doing wonders for my attention issues. My sensory issues get worse everyday.

Asperger Syndrome is a bit easier to deal with than Autism, so if I were that girl, I'd just take whatever drugs I could to keep it off my case.
